Been waiting to give this Aventus-a-like a try until it popped up at a decent price and £37.56 ain't bad for 100ml

Club de Nuit Intense Man isn't what it was and Parfums Vintage is great but costs a bomb (got a bottle of Vanilla Intense which smells amazing). Let's see what MontBlanc have brought to the party.

Smell great everyone!

Zara's Vibrant Leather at £19.99 is much closer to Aventus than this.

I've heard Explorer starts Aventus and goes Sauvage in the drydown. Either way I'll give it a try at this price. At this point there's so many interpretations of Aventus that I don't think most are seeking the perfect clone anymore, it's just which variant works best on your skin. Vanilla Intense for me is great because the vanilla helps projection and longevity.

Had a sample too. Very impressed and can see how it gets the Aventus similarities comments. Well worth a purchase I'd imagine.
I've blind bought this so I'm glad people enjoyed the samples

"Smell great everyone!"

Honestly I'd rather smell of manly body odor, halitosis and clothes that have been forgotten about in the washing machine for a week but dried and worn anyway.

I've seen a lot of Facebook promotion for copycatfragrances.co.uk/

Some people say that it's really close, but others claim the contrary. Some of their other scents people are raving about, however after buying the sample pack.
I've seen on reviews that montblonc explorer moves further away from aventus on the dry down. I saw that another fragrance does the opposite and doesn't smell like aventus initially, but does on the dry down I'll try and find it to add.

This smells really good, tried the sample I got with one of my order. It didn't seem to last for more than couple of hours though for an EDP !! Heat added for the price

Zara aftershave only lasts about 30 minutes tho
I had a split of this and really didn't get on with it - far too much ambroxan for me which gives it a harsh opening, but I guess it's a personal thing as others seem to really like it.

I've got a couple of copycat fragrances, the Baccarat Rouge 540 and Tom Ford Fabulous equivalents. Decent alternatives tbh, the BR 540 is pretty spot on.

Heard very good things about this
Loving all the comments about Aventus Creed from the skinflints wanting to smell nice.

Just pony up for the real thing if you want to smell like the real thing... 100ml bottle I have lasts probably 2 years when cycled around. Hardly bad value when you consider the longevity.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is my new addition. :-)

I am not upto speed with the latest trends of fashionable smells. I simply went round debenhams and tried almost all and this one was the best. I was then going to buy it from Amazon when I got home from travels but at the airport tried Dior Sauvage again not knowing whether it's the latest or the old spice of cologne. I bought the Dior as it was duty free but mont blanc came a close second for me. Its only the past few days Iv seen a war on here between these colognes.

No trolling at all...

I just don't understand the thinking of buying knock off fragrance which, is exactly that. Cheap skate fare.

Sauvage or Sausage as its otherwise known as (Cue all the johnyy Depp meme's) is as on trend as it comes, walk into any bar/club and every guy will be reeking of the stuff. Many offices too. Its the Paco Rabanne 1 Million of the last 5 years
Chanel Bleu is slowly making its way towards the summit of trendiest
Ordered, thanks for the heads up Limp Also had a £5 off voucher from Nectar points and activated an offer so that I get 200 bonus points back as well 👌

Depends on the knock off. I can't pretend to be swimming in £280 bottles of Aventus to compare but reactions from CDNIM got me head over heels into the fragrance scene. In terms of retail cost being representative of how much people enjoy a scent, I get more lovely comments wearing Ted Lapidus Gold Extreme (which can be bought for £20) than when I wear more moderately priced designer fragrances like la nuit de l'homme or Cedrat Boise.

Have you tried the samples from Copycat fragrances yet? What's your opinion on how close they are?
grahamchalker19/07/2019 13:21

Agreed. The Zara Vibrant Leather is fantastic for the money. Lasts longer than the mont blanc and smells better. Molten Brown's new Russian leather is a very good alternative as well.
This is a place of extremes. We've got one guy acting like he swims in a hot tub of Tom Ford Private Blend and another saying we should look on Facebook for a fake fragrance site right after stating he wants to smell like a sweaty sock.

Hope you don't mind me butting in, I have two CC fragrances, the Baccarat Rouge 540 equivalent is pretty spot on to the original. I haven't had Tom Ford Fabulous but the CC version is nice in its own right.

Dont mind at all, I love hearing reviews from others. Thinking of trying their sample set. Have Aventus and Green Irish Tweed already, but only after trying in store. hard to try some of the other niche Fragrances with limited stores selling like Harrods etc. How would you describe F...ing Fabulous clone?

I have Tom Ford Noir Extreme and it's a little like that, a touch lighter and sweeter, it's also a bit like Prada Luna Rossa Black. I'd get the sample as usual as my description doesn't do it justice! They were asking the other day for others they should do, I replied Creed Original Vetiver as that stuff is immense.
I have Noir Extreme too, gorgeous Fragrance. May be a redundant purchase if smells too similar. Interested in trying Viking but mixed reviews
The only thing that smells like Aventus is Aventus
Save up and buy the real McCoy

Haha, I don't bathe in it chap, I buy the proper stuff and I use it daily, sparingly.

Question of priority I guess, I find value in it :-)
Don't understand the fascination with Aventus. It's a nice fragrance don't get me wrong but plenty other nice ones which don't cost an arm and a leg.

Why does every one want to smell the same??
