180g for a quid is not cheap....Lidl/Aldi cheese works out less than £5 a kilo far cheaper

if you like no name rubber cheese i suppose it is....
Lidl aldi cheese tastes just the same to me..you're just paying for the name
The big supermarkets rarely give you any value on cheese...expect at least 200g for a quid

rarely do you see that kinda price unless your buying cheap rubber or a no name brand, your choice, your tastes are obviously toward the low end or the acceptable range, whilst most on here seem to appreciate the finer cheeses...anyhow, im not getting into a beef wiht someone who obviously has nothing positive to contribute, if you have a batter deal then go for it, i promise not to vote yours down cos its 50p for half a ton!

The Aldi/ Lidl cheese is not a deal , it's a permanent price hence why these shops are rammed throughout the week...particularly Aldi.

That is the point i was making too, Monterey Jack IS the most tasteless stuff on earth, it is not the lack of taste by the person tasting it, it is THE single most nothing cheese it is possible to buy, and is "aged" such a short time it could not be anything else!. Mozzarella is a mild cheese, but it has it's own distinct taste, and specific melting characteristics but Monterey jack is an american cheese without the virtue of any distinct taste, it's just a way of getting fat into your body!
Decent price for a very overrated cheese. Neutral here.
