Birra Moretti is the ultimate Italian lager since 1859, brewed to the same authentic recipe created by Luigi Moretti in Udine, north east Italy.

Birra Moretti's balanced flavour makes it the perfect accompaniment to meals - enjoy at lunch or dinner.

The ultimate Italian lager, Birra Moretti's special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Birra Moretti pairs perfectly with simple meals such as risottos, pasta dishes and pizza fresh from the pizza oven!
Consume cold, preferably in good company.

Enjoy the Italian way. Make time for what matters, and enjoy a Birra Moretti around the table with family and friends - salute!

Brown plain style cardboard box is imported from Italy. Printed white box is UK brewed I think. Worth checking on the box as the original Italian version is far nicer. They had the imported ones in Sainsbury’s Tamworth 24 x 330ml for £23 and they were definitely imported. They were in a plain brown cardboard box with the brand name, but not the coloured printing with the picture of the man with a beer from the label.

I only noticed brewed in UK after opening a white box. Agree, Italian is better
Yes, this is just another pipe out of the vat in the local Heineken brewery in the UK.

I bought a box of this from Coop today but couldn’t see on the box that it was brewed in Italy compared to the UK ?!? But similar to the Corona boxes what’s the difference between the Home brewed and UK versions? Would love to know

I personally think that the Corona brewed in Mexico and the Moretti brewed in Italy taste better than their UK brewed counterparts. I think UK brewed versions tend to have a generic taste and some UK brewed versions of the brands taste similar to other UK brewed versions of other brands so it is hard to tell them apart. Many different licensed beer brands in the UK are produced together at the same breweries so can end up tasting similar. If you drink the originals I think they have a bit more of a distinct taste. I’m no connoisseur or expert but it is my personal taste so I try and find the imported versions, where possible, but everyone is different and it depends what you prefer personally. Maybe try a blind test on a couple of UK and originals and see if you can see the difference.

No problem. Sainsbury’s have Corona from Mexico in 24x 330ml for £18 in brown boxes and also Moretti from Italy 24 x 330ml for £23 also in a brown box at the moment. Corona boxes say imported from Mexico at the bottom of the text on the box or Brewed under license in the UK so it is clearer to see. Moretti you have to look a bit harder, but if it has the colour label picture of the man with a beer on the outside of the box then it is usually a UK version. Italian version just has the brand name usually.Shows how sad I am!
