Bought some of these oats yesterday afternoon form ASDA and was suprised to see the price had gone up so much. Hadn't bought any since before Chrismas last year as I tend to stock up when I can, always handy to have some in whenever I need a bowl of porridge which is nearly every day to be honest.

This offer works out roughly £1.39 each or 7p/100g.

Thanks for posting. Good deal for a great product.

Yeah it's amazing how much Tesco bump up their prices innit. It never seems to be a few pence. Guess they have to recoup their 5p off a litre of petrol deals.

Generally £1 per kilo is a very decent price for oats.

3 for 2 and a 2 kg bag is £2.09 means you get 6KG for 2*£2.09 so £4.18

Per kilo that works out at 70p per kilo which is very good indeed

Do we know what cut these are? 'Superfast Oats' suggests porridge-like which I detest (a-la ready break). I need them to be bigger oats, even jumbo oats are fine. I can't be doing with sawdust!

It says on the instructions that these oats can be cooked in one minute though I tend to cook them in something like 15 as I don't feel they are properly cooked otherwise, I also like these mixed with a good pinch of salt when cooking and also add a good dollop of milk too, no sugar, tastes fine too. Can also be left off the heat for about 5 mins or more if you like your porridge thick.

I honestly can't tell the difference to these or the bigger oats as you've mentioned though I was brought up on Scots oats as a child, my mum tends to like these. Personally I don't think they are at all like ready break though that might be more down to preference, these may not be for you.

I definitely don’t think these are superfast though others may disagree.

I haven't got time to waste waiting 12 hours for my porridge to be digested. I want oats with a bowl to bowl speed of 6 hours or less. These superfast bad boys might be just the ticket.

i hugely love this stuff!!i've been to 5 tescos since this deal came on and it's not even got a space on the shelf anymore!!put it on a deal and then take it off the shelves!!i've just been online and "Sorry, this product is currently unavailable."! it had been online up until then,is it gonna disappear from asda too? i hope not!
