Ordered - voted hot!

good price, although brita kettles annoy me as you have to wait for it to filter before you can boil. No such thing as a 'quick brew' with these bad boys!

IMHO surely boiling water gets rid of impurities anyway so I don't personally see the need in them, but if you do then good luck to ya!

Our one boils as the water filters, just like the one above. I agree about the impurities but it keeps our kettle clean and we are in a hard water area, so that has to be a plus.

hot deal
too bad i just spent loads on the crabtree sale!

Be warned if you buy this kettle - you cannot see how much water is in the kettle because of the frosted fill line on the side and the fact that you are boiling when it filters.
That means you will constantly be over filling and wasting electricity! We quickly stopped using the filter on ours so in my opinion avoid.

I ordered this when it was first posted, so have been using it for 2 weeks. t is great!!! Cant understand why the poster above had problems!!! I have not got those problems at all. If you totally fill the top filter bit it is nearly 3 large mugs, so to fill the kettle do it twice. You will have to wait for the first lot to filter through, then when you poor the second lot in, turn it on and it will all boil.
Obviously if it is just for 2 of you, just fill the filter and turn it on.
If you really can't wait a few minutes for the water to filter (gosh how inconvienient!) then you can poor ready filtered water in very easily.
The blue light is funky, and we have found it very quick and far more economical (both with water boiled and with electricity used)
Great, thanks for the post!

At the end of the day this is a water filter jug (that you can boil). Fill or part fill and just use it as a normal filter jug and when you are ready boil it for tea/coffee etc. As Savagevixen says the the filler section in the top is calibrated so completely filling the top section will give you 2-3 large mugs of tea/coffee.

Oh, boiling gets rid of some imputities but will not get rid of scale.

I have a breville version which I love, and you will notice a big difference with your tea if you have never filtered your water before. My version has colour changing lights and a keep warm switch but cost a lot more, I brought it from Argos.

i just filter my water then pour it into the kettle seems good price though. but 3.1kw seems a lot of power.

They all seem to be around that power. More power = less time to boil which is key for most people.

I ordered this on 01 feb and now 11 feb and it has still not arrived going to ring and cancel!!
