handy you can pick your day for delivery too! handy

Was very tempted here but the reviews have put me off. You have to keep stopping it to scrape cake mix etc down from the sides of the bowl. Also it wont deal with smallish quantities of anything such as batter, cream etc as the paddles don't even touch them. Seems to be more for large batches of mixing.

I bought this when it was 45 quid. yes you do have to keep stopping to scrape the cake mixture down. I've only used it once. had much better results with an aldi hand held retro mixer for 12 quid

Check how long these run for, the model down has a limited time it can we left on, it's such a short time.

Immersion blenders are a lot more convenient than these items which will just end up gathering dust or end up on gumtree or ebay like a lot of other kitchen appliances that seemed like a good idea at the time.

You're right. According to Which?: "It has a maximum mixing time of five minutes and then needs a 10-minute break to cool down. This stand mixer works quite slowly anyway, so this is likely to slow things down even further - we found that it took longer than five minutes to whisk the egg whites properly."

I'm afraid Which? didn't recommend people buy this mixer, even at £48.

Unfortunately these are very poor mixers and that is a pretty average price for this one. If anyone is looking to buy a new stand mixer, you're probably much better off looking for a great deal on a KMix, I bake a lot and this is the best mixer I have ever tried.

Thanks for checking, from what I remember for when it's been posted before they even put that in the instruction imagine going to your boss saying you designed a mixer that lasts 5 mins.

Good for mixing cement tho
