Love mine, except when it has a mind of its own.
Just taken mine down the skip, lasted approx 2 years. Nice idea but gone back to conventional pedal bin as the seemingly constant battery changing was a bit of a pain
According to one of the reviews this has a rolled lip around the top of the bin, so if you squash the rubbish in the bin down to avoid emptying it too frequently the lip will snag on and tear the bin liner when you try to pull it out.

Had the same problem with the £13 Russel Hobbs Sensor bins I bought after it was posted on here 2 or 3 years ago. It only lasted about 6 months until it broke one of its plastic lid hinges, repaired that, then the other hinge broke, then after about 1 year the motor failed. Wasn't a complete waste of money though as I dissolved some of the plastic and used it to repair the snapped swivel joint in the turbo brush head of my vacuum cleaner

Load of rubbish.
Got one, batteries last about 1/2 months
Pain in the ass I'm afraid every time you walk past it goes off.
