Amazing bargain with excellent reviews. I've purchased Amazon warehouse refurbished items in the past and they have always been brand new with just a damaged or missing box.

I hope this deals helps someone

I've got one of these and I love it. Fresh soup in 21 minutes.

Many thanks OP.

Cheap soup maker for the dragon ( mother-in-law )

I have bought and returned three of these. While they are very good in that you get delicious soup very quickly, there is a known design fault - the food sticks to the bottom and stops the process. We got our money back in the end and just use the slow cooker and hand blender, which is just as good but not as quick.

Had mine over a year and never had any such problem.

You were lucky
I'm have had a job returning warehouse items as many were badly damaged ,not like the old days of cheap deals

If food is sticking its cause the food is too chunky so it drops to the bottom of base or u didnt put water in first.I am hooked on Broccoli and Stilton soup and its really good in this soup maker.Mine takes 28 mins to cook any soup as timer is pre controlled.

lentils stick to the bottom no matter how much water you put in

Likewise, we've had three too and returned all. Putting water in the bottom made no difference.

No lentils don't. I soak them in boiling water while I chop my veg and then add them last. Have used it weekly for last five months and never had a problem.

Can anyone recommend some recipes

Mate of mine used a few of these in his workplace lab prepping "curious" fluids up to temp / viscosity for some reason or another (human soup) in prep for another process.

Wonder if any of you are getting the ones they had to return oO

It comes with some recipes in the booklet but I just adapted my lentil soup recipe until I got it the way we like it. 185g lentils 50g split yellow peas. I large chopped onion, two large chopped carrots, two medium chopped potatoes, I squirt tomato purée and 2 veg stock cubes and two ham stock cubes dissolved in water and fill to max line. Look lentils and split peas in boiling water while chopping veg as small as you can be bothered. Add All veg with lentils last and fill to max line. Select smooth and it takes 21mins, I leave longer as it's still hot and continues to cook. It makes a very think soup and I add a little water if needed after cooking. It freezes very well . Honest this works every time and does not stick.

There's a huge difference between Amazon used item and refurbished. Still hot.

Where is the evidence of this "known design fault"?

Banned

Just ordered one. Apparently new model with previous known faults fixed.

So the redesigned model makes porridge then! Heat! :-)

The "refurbished "one is in fact £39.99 +£5.61 postage.

It's the "used" one that's £24.

liking the idea though...

Thank you just ordered one

This is the saute version therefore non-stick. It doesn't burn like the older stainless steel inside one does. I got rid of the old one for this and it's awesome. No burning problems.

Thanks for letting me know, might have a look then as I really did like it, but it was so annoying when it kept cutting out, even worse when we found out Morphy Richards were aware of the fault.

Hi the price has increased as mentioned by 'derek4' so the item is no longer available at the originally listed deal price of £24.64 so the listed deal is expired

Mine is the Morphy Richards one that does juice as well. I just look for any soup recipe on the internet and just use the same quantities as it says to do.Carrot and Coriander soup is nice . Plus mine has a chunky setting but i think they all have so it doesnt get all mashed up so at the end i can then blend it a bit in the soup maker with the blend button.I use it more in the winter but i have got hooked on Broccoli and Stilton soup so been using it more recently. But u can experiment and just put any veg in and veg stock cube and if you put in a few potatoes it will be thick soup as potatoes thicken soup up.
This is one i have

Food sticking to a non-stick surface would indicate that the non-stick surface has been damaged....This usually happens because people dont read instructions about cleaning non-stick items.

It happened from the first use and yes I did read the instructions.

Had one about 8 months now and use it 3-4 times a week, excellent item and soup tastes great.
