My lovely copper one lasted 5 years until today (3+ cups a day) so I trust the same one in a new colour to replace it, as I can't find the copper...

It is stainless steel inside.
Had mine about 4 years and still going strong.
Many reviews on Amazon put me off. A few problems with leaking!
We have this in the purple colour, bought with the matching toaster a couple of years back. The toaster is great, but we would never buy another of these kettles - paint flaking around spout and top, and discolouration of the plastic window so very difficult to tell how much water is in it nowadays. Prior to this, we had a cheap supermarket own brand kettle (Asda) which still looked new after six years.

Morphy Richards should stick to making irons, which they're good at, not kettles.
I had 2 of these and both had the same leaking problem. Not even worth 19.99 I'm afraid.

Oooh, i'll keep an eye out for that. Mine has so far been great and boils really quickly.
Only had it for 6 months though.
Also had leak problem. Ironically seems to be a weak point by the measure gauge which is next to useless anyway!!
Cheers for the reviews all. Decided against this one. Leaking water and electricity... Great mix!
Bought one for my dad it lasted about 18 months

Just thrown one of these out. Awful kettle, if pour just after boiling it bubbles and spurts out the spout and can burn your hand. The water gauge is also inaccurate, filling it’s a nightmare. Avoid.
Don't buy this. if I had to sum it up in one word it would be 'dangerous'
I've had the same model (different colour) for 3+ years...no problems apart from limescale buildup
Same here. I asked my sister to give this as a present when we move house with a matching toaster. Stopped working after a few months and soon after that was the toaster. It kept tripping the power when in use. Waste of money.
We had a kettle similar design to this years ago from Morphey Richards that leaked boiling water all over when our kids were very small (luckily missed them). I am sure we contacted them and heard nothing back

Also same problem with mine = Leeks at the measuing gauge, overall the design is nice, quality is just awful!
Again I would advise ovoid, i think ours lasted a few months before it went in the bin. Tried in vain to claim under warranty
I had one that only lasted a couple of months, leaked boiling water and also not well designed with the handle over where you fill it with water so if there is steam it sure does burn! AVOID
yeah mine leakes terribly from the measuring gauge also and when it boils spurts out all over the place, worst kettle ive ever had !!
Got one of these while back and they boil pretty quickly but don't pour whilst water still boiling as it shoots out spout and can get everywhere...also after six months or so paint started to flake off on ours.
Good kettle though and like I said boils quickly (a bit of noise)..for this price it looks like a good deal.
I had this kettle in sage green with matching toaster and loved the styling. It lasted a few months If that before it started to leak. Finally gave in and bought a different one before Christmas. Wasn’t going to risk wasting my money on one of these again, even for aesthetics.
Mine arrived today, it says 2 year warranty if you register within 30 days (otherwise 1 year).

Those things never actually boil the water so it isn't technically sterile, so less useful than an actual kettle for many people who need sterile water for things.

I don't need water for my tea to be sterile and my daughter sterilises her baby stuff in a steriliser
