This is £199.99 in argos it has a 800w motor, when you consider kitchenaid stand mixers have a 300w motor this is a beast. All for a reasonable price too.

Great post thanks op

thx

A couple of the reviews on Amazon mention that the mixer can only be used for 5 minutes at a time before it needs to be left to cool down!!!
I've been looking for a new mixer and this doesn't sound fit for my purpose. Looks good though and if you will only use it for very short periods then it's probably ok

I may be wrong but I wouldn't get too hung up the fact that this is 800 watts and the kitchen aid is only 300 watts, I'm pretty sure that in 'x' amount of years time the kitchen aid will be still going strong, and this one and others (Andrew James, which is 1500 watts), will be consigned to the dustbin, IMHO. Having said that it is good for its price, and voted hot.

It was £59.99 in their lightning deal yesterday and it wasn't very fast selling...wouldn't pay full price for this now.

Not voted either way.

I posted this deal last month after buying it at this price, it's a great mixer and very easy to use and clean with a more then adequate bowl size and motor. Saved my RSI aching wrists from mixing all those cakes and snacks for Christmas baking many times already. A hot deal for the price!

Please tell me we haven't started spelling 'colour' the American way here,by dropping the 'u' .Even the HUKD spell checker only recognises the American spelling! Sad days.

HUKD has a spell checker? Haven't noticed it (and don't usually need one!), but judging by the shocking efforts of some of our fellow HUKD posters, the ones who feel confident enough to put fingers to keyboard and post comments and deals, you jest, surely!

Crimes such as 'loose' for lose and "would of" instead of "would've" are much worse than using the colonial spelling of colour, where it is at least correct, and are invulnerable to mere spell checking technology!
