Sacked the filters off? Sorry that I don't understand what you mean. Can you please explain more? Thank you.
These are great but the filters don’t last a month (in London anyway) more like 3 weeks however I’ve found Wilko’s own brand filters to be fine and last the same time

Slang terminology, possibly a northern thing. Basically got rid of the filter so it's just like a normal kettle. Couldn't be bothered replacing the filters and the tap water in our area is ok. Or at least it is when United Utilities ensure its not contaminated with Cryptosporidium...

No sacks involved.

Had one of these for a few years, was fine for most of the time but the lid started popping up during boiling. Dangerous and annoying if you're not watching it as it will just keep boiling and turn your kitchen into a sauna pretty quickly. Quite a common fault with these kettles according to reviews. Worth taking a risk for 20 quid though, you may be one of the lucky ones ☺

Bought this kettle and it looks good quality. You could take both filter and the plastic basket out and just use as an ordinary kettle. It is a big kettle because of accommodating the filter and holder as well as a normal capacity. The filters are standard Brita filters so you can use in the kettle or a Brita jug. If you have a small kitchen and soft water this is probably not for you.
