My two pence worth:

Purchased a Morphy Richards microwave from Homebase 2 months ago and had no end of issue's with it, even swapped it for another one, but still issue's.
Cut a long story short...... through some investigation whilst having issue's I rang Morphy Richards and found out that Morphy Richards DO NOT EVEN MANUFACTURE microwave oven's and only put their name to them with presumably a kick back from the retailer's. So basically, what you actually believe to be a quality microwave purchase happens to be a put together in a "non branded" manufactured way. I currently have an outstanding claim with them via Trading Standards. As far as what I'm told, it;s only the microwaves they do not oversee with regard manufacturing, but it's just another case of us consumer's being duped into buying something which it's not!
rant over.. but a big fat cold negative for me on this one.

I have an Argos "Morphy Richards" microwave (probably about five years old now) but I've long suspected it wasn't the brand I thought it was.

It works okay but it has a weird tendency to lose time by about five minutes, every few weeks. I'm constantly adjusting the clock on it!

The same with
washing machines
Tumble dryers
TVs ( cheaper priced big brands aren't made by the big brand themselves ) look up vestel en.m.wikipedia.org/wik…tel
Kettles
Fridges
Toasters

The list goes on

I got one of these. It was rubbish. Returned to Argos within a week.
