Ordered one of these myself, great for the winter. Next cheapest i could find was £20, and you can collect at store so you dont have to pay the delivery.

Also theres a 3 year warrenty/guarentee

I've always wondered how safe these are.

Very good find ... but where does it say its a double ?
The picture shows a single bed size and i can't see any mention of it being a double bed size in the description.

Note that these are always much smaller than the mattress . They only heat a small central area. The extra foot warmth only applies if you are four foot tall or curl up your legs.
I ended up replacing mine with a fitted fleecy heated underblanket. This heats the whole mattress apart from the pillow area.

Nice one.
Any chance of a King Size?

122cm by 152 cm is just over 4 feet by 5 feet so it is a double, and if you put it at the bottom of your pillow it should reach almost to the end of your bed
these are great for putting on half an hour before you go to bed then turn it off if you worried,

Item Out Of Stock! Everywhere!

Even though its out of stock, I asked for it to be delivered to store and my order was accepted.

I don't mind waiting, so cheers OP.

I've always wondered how safe these are.

I used to have one when I was a kid and I never set on fire accidentally overnight so I'd say the majority of them are pretty safe, heh

that would have been a perfect bedwarmer at that price!
Must get away from the Woolworths website quick before I buy the nostalgia Monopoly!

Here's some advice from the London fire brigade
* Check it conforms to BSEN 60967 and the plug is fitted with a 3-amp fuse.
* Make sure it has a mechanism to cut off the power if the blanket overheats.
* If the blanket is not new, have it serviced before use and again every two to three years, or according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
* Check whether yours in an under- or over-blanket and use it only use it for that purpose. The two are quite different and should not be interchanged.
* Use the ties on an under-blanket to secure it to the mattress. This prevents slipping and creasing which could damage the elements.
* Never get into bed with an under-blanket switched on. Unplug it first otherwise it may overheat and catch fire.
* Never lie on top of an over-blanket when it’s switched on - this could also start a fire.
* Keep the blanket dry and flat, folding or creasing can damage elements.
* Plan an escape route - if a fire occurs warn anyone else in the premises and get out, stay out and call the fire brigade out.
* Fit a smoke alarm!

Not available anymore, anyone else having this problem?

I think they've run out of stock. Worth checking a little later though.

Just checked again - Still Out Of Stock :-(

Its gone up to £18.00 now, and the single one is still £15.

Will it fit on a King size bed? Does it have ties, or elastic hooks to go on your matress?
