My mum wants a steam generator iron for Xmas so got to looking around tonight.

This seems to be the better version of the 333020 that sells for £59.95 on Amazon, this model currently sells at £89 and according to CamelCamelCamel the lowest it's ever been on Amazon is £82.79, so whilst this a Groupon deal, and I hate Groupon, this does seem a bargain at £59.95 delivered.

Groupon intelligently don't state the exact model number, just the range, but the photo and the spec is that of the 333007. Seems to be £90 or £100 at most places.

I know ZERO about this sort of product so if someone can point out another good deal out there for me to consider then please do!

Home bargains had 33020 a few months ago for much lower price £39.99, so good to watch if returns or some stores still stock hiding in a corner. I asked and Willesden32333522-L7p1s.jpg London did find 3 weeks ago !

The Tefal ones don't get great reviews compared to the Morphy Richards one, which is why I thought it such a good deal.

Were you quoting those as decent comparisons or have you used either yourself?

Now that is a bargain!

Good price. I was looking for one last night too. The one that I’ve attached below is for the same price with a lot more positive reviews. On Very website the above one is £89.99

Which one is better, 333007 or 333020 ?

I have this iron. Excellent piece of kit, two problems though - main one is that it has a filter cartridge which is expensive (and has INSANE postage costs) which needs replacing in very short order even if you're using filtered water, this is Morphy Richards Tax. Also the temperature settings are a bit too far apart, top temperature melts the fabric a bit on some of my shirts and the middle one isn't hot enough I believe.
Overall though - very good to use, vastly better than the breakdown-Bosch's I had before.

Which model do you have? The 333007 has 4 temp settings where as the 333020 only has 3.

i'd say check the cost of the filter that is needed. I actually bought same make higher model from Amazon two years ago. Filters were not in stock anywhere so Amazon refunded and replaced with another MR model. I have to buy de ionised water from Eurocarparts and not use the filter.

I’m not sure. But I’m swaying for the £59.99 from very as I’ll be spreading the cost plus add 4 years guarantee for £19.99

My girlfriend is going to have the best Christmas ever!

Steam generators are great! I have had a Tefal one for about ten years.. never drained it or cleaned out the insides which your supposed to do. It still works great though!

I doubt it. I'm buying her the lingerie we both like.

Great find. Went to order on Groupon and did one last search £50.50 new from Morphy Richards on eBay item number 292245525375 nectar points and guarantee. I ordered it on eBay. May help someone.

As others have said the lesser spotted filters are hard to source and when Morphy Richards do have them in stock they are ridiculously expensive

The one on that item number is the lower model, that one sells for £59.95 on Amazon.

From what I can tell, the 333007 gives out more steam and has 4 temp settings instead of 3.

That'll teach me to read properly. Yes I cancelled the eBay order and found the intellitemp model on Groupon thank you 123Answer - my mum will be happy too.

Great Find!

I have 333001 - it has three LED-indicator settings and an auto-setting (which I find gives mixed results, seems to be affected by general room temperature somehow). Four temp settings would be a big advantage I think, mine needs one between 2 and 3 most definitely. It's far ahead of the Braun though, it doesn't dribble or drop sediment like that did; the chord hasn't frayed and the pump isn't even remotely noisy (the Braun was so loud I couldn't hear the TV at normal room volume).
