Morrisons Beer Festival from £1 per bottle @ Morrisons

45
Found 22nd Oct
A bit late to the party on this one but 15 new beers at £1/bottle and lots more beers reduced to £1.25. I guess this is partly in response to Aldi/Lidl cheap beer prices.

e.g. Black Sheep Chocolate Orange Stout @6.1%ABV for £1 (nicer than it sounds!)
And a couple of Oakham Ales and Wold Top beers also £1

It doesn't matter how many I buy they never last more than a day.

Many, many thanks.
I'll have a look tomorrow. They had good ales the last time they had an ale festival.

Out of stock online for the chocolate orange😩

None of the Oakhams were £1 in my local 😥

Cheers OP some of the pounds ones look good, as do the £1.25 ones but the reduced to £1.50 ones are not reaelly a bargain as they have been 4 for £6 for a long while.

Looks like they are clearing the beer festival lines ready for xmas.Ones I've spotted for £1 in my local (Ellesmere Port):
Plum Porter
Cherry Saison
Erdinger Oktoberfest

Yes I was in Morrisons yesterday and noticed this (sorry forgot to post it). Better selection than Aldi and better prices to boot.

Cheers!!

Dammit, shut now!

Are these the ones that were 1.50 before?

Ha, I meant the offer...

As for the beers, mine rarely last the drive home

Hopefully you're travelling in a taxi and not driving it

Thanks for posting - heat added. I must admit that Aldi/ Lidi are good value and their drinks are good.

They've distributed them all over the store in Hatch end so there's a fair bit of ground to cover to find the full selection.

Nope, driving myself. Sometimes they're all downed before I've even left the car park, which in itself makes leaving the car park that little bit trickier!

My nearest Morrisons is quite a distance and it's more than a bit 'ewww' inside. So, I shop online. Ordered 2 x 500ml bottles of seven different beers for a Thursday evening delivery. All seven were removed from the trolley. None left!

Great deal

Might be a bit of an odd question... can anyone who has bought these tell me which ones are easy to peel the labels off of?

Looking for some bottles for my home brew... and while you can buy empties brand new, it's always nicer when they come pre-filled

Good marketing methinks.
Makes you work up a thirst running round the shop chasing all these beers so you end up buying more than you really want lol.
Then again perhaps you can never buy more than you want when it comes to beer.

Nice find OP. Heat added.

I'm afraid I voted cold as nearly all of these (well the A/I PAs) are 6 for £4 in ASDA vs. £5 for 3 in Morrisons.

The badger ones fall off with a soak in hot water. Wasn't impressed with the beer inside though.

A couple of the Halloween ones were reduced to £1 near me (Bredbury, Stockport) when I called on Saturday but didn't notice any others. Might call in again tonight and see

You sure pretty certain they are 4 for £6 in Asda..............

Some good ones... they also had DunkelFesta a pound at Mozzers and 1.29 in Aldi and Cherry Stout plus a few local beers.

No they are not, well not online or in the three stores I've been in. Even the ones that were 4 for 6 in Morrisons two weeks ago are 1.50 each and you dont have to buy in multiples of 4

£1.50 each 6.1 Alchol. Volume....good deal.Heat is on.

Still priced at £1.50 in my local, but scanning at £1. Out of plum porter.

Yes they are. I was in there yesterday (North London) and bought 16 beers (all IPA, some bottles, some cans) for £24.

Yup. You're right. Sorry. Got that the wrong way around.

Thanks v much, fancy one now but would probably get the sack so will wait until Wednesday & look. Heat added.

En route there now..... Well..... Stumbled across a cracking deal at wetherspoons first. £1.95 for a pint of 7% adnams tally ho barley wine. Lovely stuff. Let's hope my local Morrison's has that 6% orange stout in store still. Could be in for a very good day and evening if they do

Just got 14 for £14 in morrisons Hereford, they had sold out of a couple and some were a bit weak for my taste , 3.5% uuggg, but got a nice selection..........

They were on their own at the end of an aisle , none at all in the beer sectiion , about as far away from the alcohol section as they could get.....

That's the store I'm going to. Small world. Many of the orange stouts left? Plum porter? Anything else notable left? Thanks

Thanks op, just drinking a bottle of the chocolate orange stout, lovely. Lots left of all types in Crawley, i just got about 20 bottles of various strange brews, and then took back all the ones which weren't a quid - quite confusing pricing, not clear at all what each one costs. No probs getting the customer service girl to take back about five bottles just a minute after buying them.

Hereford store was drastic btw. The end of aisle bit didn't seem to exist by time I got there (unless it was by the crisps and that range was all "craft" beer (3 for 5 quid. A pack for 5.36). I did get 4 Halloween ales though for a quid each though.

Yep thats where they were, it was half empty when I left.....just about to try the orange one now

Choc orange, mocha, guiness milk stout all nice, as were the plum porter and the black ipa. Oakham stuff is always good.

I'm jealous. Just glad I went to spoons before and had pints of 7% adnams. That's hit the spot for this evening (minus 1 of the gangly ghoul ales i'm supping now at home).

Brains Coopers Reserve is well worth a try.
I'm not a massive hoppy ale fan and this suits me much better.
I'll get some more later......................................... hopefully.
