Could you buy a spider house and put it next to that insect one

And the bird house next to that.
There was an old lady who swallowed a fly . ..
Cute.
Would come in handy for craft ideas.
Might get a few for personalised wedding gifts

That looks durable and could take a few shots from my S410 Carbine PCP

I bought a cheap bird box before, similar appearance, it was awful the staples used in assembly were poking through the inside all over the place, no way would birds use it. This one might be OK but just be warned.
Butterfly house was £1.20 on my local and a similar sized hanging birdhouse for £2.10. Various gardening tools also reduced. Loppers and lawn edge shears for £2.10 each.
Thanks for this OP, managed to get hold of four bird houses. They look reasonably built to me. It's just a shame they'll be difficult to clean out, it's a pity the bottom or lid isn't removable. Any tips?

I've just had a disaster in the garden. Tits used an upside down plant pot on the ground. Which actually looked to be quite a good choice at first. I was worried about the chicks managing to get out the top. Sadly I lost the parents due to the neighbours cat's predation. So ended up with chicks that died as a result of neglect. I was too late.

So I thought I better get some boxes and place in higher out of reach spots for next year.

Heat for the deal BTW, I just picked up 2 of the bird boxes from Morrison's and as BucketMan has said, no way to clean out like I can my existing bird boxes. Perhaps use a piece of wood through the entrance hole to tap the back off, then fit back on with screws or use a multi-tool to cut out the base and screw back on? Not had chance to try either option yet!

I took off the right side of the roof and screwed panel back on. Seemed to be the easiest option. Oops, just realised it was left side. It was just tacked on and prized off easily enough with a screwdriver.
