This is a long standing deal at all Morrisons.
Have they ever not been 2 for £1?
Morrisons egg custards don’t (IMO) taste good. I made that mistake, and never again.
They’ve been this price since the war. Cold.
Dont really taste like egg custards
Mass produced egg custards are made from a powdered egg custard mix, the main difference being the quality of the pastry. As an egg custard fan, the best are those made at home but if going for shop bought, then Morrisons are better than decent quality and excellent VFM at 4 for £1. Tesco are about the same but pricier and Asda are inedible IMHO with grey, soggy pastry - wouldn't eat those at any price. In fairness, they do an Extra Special variety which are ok when you can find them. Aldi and Lidl so so. Don't have a Waitrose near me so cannot comment but my chain store favourite is good old M&S. My regional bakery chain Cooplands does a decent custard pie as i am sure other local bakers around the country must do.

The custard pie equivalent of crack cocaine is of course the Portuguese Pasteis de nata. But they just don't taste the same in the uk unless you are seated at a pavement cafe/bar in hot sunshine with a cup of espresso.
