I’m a little confused...what’s the difference between this and some Tupperware we already have? Don’t need more plastic in the house!

It’s electric and it heats your food

Not searchable/listed on the website but I saw quite a few in Morrisons Crewe Toll Edinburgh this evening.

Ah sorry!

Electric Heated is the clue. I used to work in a shop that sold laptops and people would come in and ask do you sell laptops? Considering there were loads of laptops in the window and on every shelf in the shop I had to force myself to hold back the sarcasm.
Can I use it in car?
My son bought me something like this for me to use in my lorry, it's very good but takes a good hour or so to warm a meal through until it's piling hot.
What’s wrong with a microwave?
Tested this by loading it with a pint of water (half full) I got to about 35°C after an hour and 43°C after two. As an attempt to see if the heat was leaching out onto a cold counter top (in January, go figure) I left it on a polystyrene tile as insulation for two hours and it got to a very acceptable 55°C which is approaching slow cooker temperature but not high enough to kill all the bugs, good for reheating food providing you don't leave it on for too long which I suppose is the purpose.
But it says 'hot meals in minutes' not 'hot meals in 2 hours' lol!
Maybe that's why it's reduced, let's be realistic a microwave usually takes a few minutes so there's no way this is going to do it quicker. I suppose it has it's uses though there are plenty of instances when a microwave isn't available.
By the way, where is the cord/plug? or is it cordless/rechargeable? not exactly clear on the box.
Apparently when searching on google this doesn't exist..... but I found a video of something pretty similar.
