Found 2nd Feb 2014
So I just did my first Morrisons online shop and I was pretty disappointed with their offers until I got to the checkout process, where they offered these so called flash sale items:

"Bag yourself a big bargain with our latest Flash Sales.
These exclusive offers are only available on this page, right now. Stock is strictly limited, so once they're gone, they're gone.

Maximum 20 promotional items per product."

I do not know whether everyone receives these offers during the checkout process, but these were some of the items that were included for me:

Morrisons Fishmonger Fish Pie Mix (R) 340g (£4.00): £1.40 (65% off)

Morrisons Mature White Cheddar Large (R) Typically: 250g (£1.81): 90p (50% off)

Skin On Boneless Salmon Fillets (R) 440g (£5.50): £2.75 (50% off)

Morrisons Smoked Extra Thick Rindless Back Bacon 6 Rashers 300g (£2.55): £1.27 (50% off)

Other items items I didn't add also included:

Half price raspberries, lamb chops, cucumber,

Love Morrisons but they don't deliver near me yet. They have the best deli counter and their corned beef is better and cheaper than other stores. I also like the Denver cut of steak they sell.

Ocado do the flash sales as well. Also, if you add all the flash sale items to the basket and click back and then click continue you get more flash sale items

Wow, morrisons actually has a reasonable website now

What i would add is morrisons (maybe area specific) from this week are starting their £10 off at the end of the month and 10p of a litre of fuel when you spend £40 per week in the next 3 weeks but for some reason its store only i did enquire about online shopping and it if applied but apparently that's coming later down the line which i found bizarre considering they have just launched it, id have though it would have pull more custom to them......hey ho!

for the next 4 weeks ill continue to use the store!

Great food but such an old fashioned shop when it comes to their policy on moving the business into the 21st century. Only just started home delivery when others have been doing it for years.

well its here now. Iceland only just started doing there shop online. And Morrisons are the newest supermarket remember it was safeway before. there are lots of reasons it took time its not easy otherwise mcdonalds would deliver aswell and you know how busy mcdonalds would be if they did delivery's

i love morrisons quarter pounders they are very nice and juicy

only 2 bad points imo there value pasta sauce is like red vinegar and the fact they stopped selling marshmallow juice or raspberry ripple

I dont know that Morrisons are the newest supermarket and they werent Safeway before. As far as I can recall, Morrisons bought out some branches of Safeway and they then were renamed as Morrisons stores. Im sure someone will correct me if Im wrong

Morrisons been around for over 100 years, started in Bradford on a street barrow and opened their first store in the fifties, with their first supermarket following in the sixties.
They kind of did a reverse takeover of Safeways in 2004 which saddled them with truckloads of debt. They dropped all of Safeway's technology and went backwards by 12 years.
This is why they have only just launched on line shopping.

Iceland had online food shopping ages ago, I used to use them back in 2001. Delivery was free over £25.

never was safeway a you say.
morrisons seem to have appeared in a lot of ex Somerfield stores too.
as for them only just starting to deliver, just shows you, they have large customer numbers as financially they still been ok without offering that service.
just a shame they don't offer the fresh bakery items like the pasties as hubby loves them

no such deals on mine

All orders are delivered from a main base in the Midlands at the moment, not individual stores.

I love the items are from a main base and not handpicked off the shelves of a supermarket. i have had four lots of shopping delivered from them now , the service has been great and the food is the freshest and well presented food i have ever had from anywhere.Well done Morrisons

Remember if you are making orders, you can amend the order by a set time, the flash sale items change throughout the day depending on what items need clearing from the warehouse

For example at the moment 2L blue cap milk is 44p, 1.25kg whole chicken with sage stuffing £1.89

Lol, you never mentioned ken morrisons speech and ultimate ban from the Safeway site for stating in no unclear terms, this was not a merger but a takeover, and that northerners worked harder than soft southerners..
He never went to Hayes again

Or that morrisons at the time had 2 qualified accountants and laid off over 160 qualified finance staff from the Safeway head office.

Ps. As part of the takeover of Safeway morrisons had to offload x number of Safeway stores to rivals, as did asda when they bought somerfield , hence all the supermarkets traded stores between themselves for a few years after the takeovers
