The Berwick Hills one is generally a couple of pence cheaper than Teesside Park for some reason! It's something I've noticed on a couple of occasions .. I don't know whether it is meant to be like that or if Teesside Park are just slow at updating their prices or what! :?

yeah I found it used to be a penny more but the past month or so its been the same. Hartlepool store used to have their petrol a penny or two less. Seems like Morrisons are going for a nationwide price rather than a local one these days

Berwick Hills is my local too. Heat and rep added :-D

Rep for a good first deal post

price of oil is at its lowest for about four and a half years so why is the fuel price on the forecourt only at a 22 month low? should be around 70-75p a litre of petrol imho

oh well they will bleed you dry for as long as they can and pass the savings on as slow as they can.

I filled up at Morrissons in Strood, Kent this evening and it was still at 87.9, Probably the cheapest in the area, but doesn't look like this price is nationwide yet.

Should be about 76p per litre when the oil price was and is US$36 per barrel now!

Hartlepool Morrisons was 86.9 petrol and 98.9 diesel (so a penny more on each) at 5pm. Might've changed since, mind... ;-)

Most supermarket petrol stations tend to change their prices on Friday of the week. Don't know why but I suspect most petrol purchases are done at the weekend shopping hence expect to rake in the profit margins on weekly sales figures. I hate shopping at weekends with crowds, tried queueing up for petrol. Much prefer 24 hour Tesco's service stations.

If petrol prices are expect to go down for a short period, I tend to just fill a small amount what I need but fill it up to the max when the prices have settled down. But accordingly to news reports, looks like middle east are intending to reduce output as demand is expected to decrease due to credit crunch & slow down of international trade so expect lower prices for the time being but don't hold out. Fill it up while you can. Hope the lower prices will extend the whole of the country nationwide.

Should be less than that given the low price of a barrel of the stuff

Price hasn't dropped down this way yet (J2 M27) and I have just filled up!
It's worth noting that B30 Biodiesel is usually the same price as dinosaur diesel at Morissons.

morrisons petrol is NOT priced nationally normally, so it will prob be between 85.9 and 86.9.

Please show your workings...

(because you are wrong)

I am fed up of these petrol deals popping and gaining such heat it is not really a DEAL if it is nationwide. Will some one open a site coldukdeals and add cold when the price starts to go up i think not

Don't forget the we buy in $ and the pound has fallen from 2 dollars to the pound to under 1.5 so I would 'guess' thats the reason it's not any lower.

Anything we import is about to get a lot more expensive.

These greedy OPEC member oil producing countries have just yesterday CUT oil production to a record low because they can't bare seeing fuel so cheap for the general public in this economic downturn. And the other greedy party who fleece us, the GOVT will not cut their share of the fuel tax. Which is in why the price of fuel will not get lower than what it should be, compared to the price of crude oil. Gordon Brown has just said today that volatile fuel prices are not good for the economy. F@*K HIM! I'm happy to see unleaded settle at 84.9p per litre. A good way I use to gauge petrol prices is by comparing it to the cost of Supermarket orange juice cartons. Tesco own brand OJ is 86p per litre and unleaded at my local Esso is 86.9 per litre. So I pay about the same for both. But I get more satisfaction from drinking the Orange juice.

HOT, just a shame that when ever a que forms in morrisons they never open new counters.....so you always end up with 3 or 4 people in front of you (with old people bashing there trolleys into you instore!)

it is 87.9 near me!

Blummin heck just filled up at Tesco, I wondered why there was not the usual que there!

Just filled up @ Plymstock and can confirm the price 85.9

From primary school and even now, spelling has always been something I've been useful at

The above word is one that I struggle with every single time

I would say that I will never learn to spell that word..... old dog n that :-D

Diesel is 98.9p in Keighley, so only 1p reduced here.

Rats.

If one place is selling something cheaper than other places are then it's something we want to know about.
It's kinda the whole point of the site...
Pillock.

Asda also 85.9
