Morrisons Serrano Ham Block With Board & Knife 1kg £10.00

Found 20th Mar 2016
I saw these in my local Morrisons yesterday, there was a large pallet of them stacked up and there was a lot of people seemed interested especially for the price and size.

These are ideal for a smaller household. I think Aldi are also doing something similar but theirs is £13.

I think something is getting lost in translation.

Yuck is idiot for mmmmmm, hammy ham. I'd like a mask made of pork and a pair of beef wellingtons. Take me to your butcher this instant!

Or something like that...
Thanks, I'll pick a set up for my wife later.

I can always throw away the ham and board.
ham keeps well if you hack it up and store it only oil, olive is best.
Do you have to keep this in the fridge? How long does it keep for?
Bring on the summer and one of these, some olives, nice bread, ohhhhh heaven
Just been to Morrison's Basingstoke and they have not heard of the offer? Sad times.
my mole in the secret underbelly of Morrisons says these might be for putting out next week.

No to fridge. Keeps a long time, you can oil (olive) the cut parts and cover with a teatowel. If it looks a bit iffy after a while just cut the iffy bit off until you get to normal looking ham.
If they're as good as the small one Aldi had, they'll be good value. No bone and very lean.

No bone made it difficult to slice through to the end tho'!

Here's the instruction manual.....

random question but is the knife decent to slice it thinly ? All about the multiple use, my current board just split so my mum sister loves the ham, so board for me knife and ham for her

What is the world coming to when they sell formed Serrano Ham, it is supposed to be on the bone and hanging for months in fly ridden attic.
Meat!!!!
Thanks God they haven't stated the size of the board, that would be too helpful.

Yummy! Hope my local morrisons has it
Probably be a salt fest... Pass
The knife in the Aldi deal at Christmas was hopeless - not useful for anything...

Probably one of those people that do not eat certain foods because he or she thinks that they have to do what some guy wrote in a book over a thousand years ago and has not got the common sense to decide what is right or wrong themselves.
Anyone had one of these before? Could you give it a score out of ten for taste please?

We got a larger one from Morries at Xmas when they was on offer, came with carving knife and block. Loads left even now coming into Easter, lovely tasting and nice with cheese and biscuits etc...
So, bought one today. The ham is decent enough quality for the price. It's off the bone so won't last as well as on the bone. I'll probably end up cutting it into blocks and freezing it.

The knife is cheap and I certainly wouldn't use it to cut the ham but useful enough to keep around I think. The wood board is good only for kindling though.

Still, he the price of the pre cut ham so hot hot from me.
