Black Friday special from Morrisons? Unwashed potatoes.

better than Argos, they havent even had a sale online today with their website being down all day

Nice spuds

Sorry hit the cold button instead of the hot

These will be brilliant for my new phillips airfryer that i managed to get today for £69 at tesco.

Saw these yesterday in Stratford-Upon-Avon too at the front of the store.

Which variety OP?

Great with the £5 off £10 spend on fruit and veg

Got some of these in Lowestoft store yesterday

lmao I went looking for a sack of potatoes at Morrisons last sunday and couldn't see any typical.
They are good potatoes for the money, make great mash and decent chips.

They actually do this 2 quid deal on these quite often in Morrisons, which is handy considering the price of a bag of spuds these days. I was in with my mum on Monday, told her to get herself a bag. Too much for me tho, as it's just myself and my 14yo lad in our house so most would go to waste...

Heat tho.

Got one of those in currys weeks ago for £68.00 so not really a bargain I'm afraid.

Stored right they last a while, there are ways to freeze potato, and you could always just Freecycle some if you know you won't need that much

i bought this i think when they had the offer last month!. Almost over. So can buy a new bag

£4.99 for 25kg of maris pipers at most farm shops.

But not all of us live near a Farm Shop, hence, our reason for buying this.

how long do these tend to last? lucky if I get a week from a normal bag of potatoes. probably need to look up on where best to store them

cold from me brought 4 different bags in the past and a load had huge holes or where mank inside

Compared to the last bags we had from local farm shops the Morrisons ones were superior. I can't remember seeing a bad one in the whole bag and the amount of dirty was much less then your average farm shop.

Well this works out at £4 for 25kg, so you point is that the morrisons deal is cheaper than farm shops. Our local farm shop is ridiculously expensive.

Good luck with the airfryer, I have a feeling you may regret that buy. I bought 2 a while back (they don't hold much chips so if you're cooking for more than one person you need more than one fryer) and the handles broke on both of them in a matter of weeks, not only that but the chips whilst they may be healthier don't taste the same as they do cooked in lard.

Is a pretty useless machine to be honest.. We demoed them a few months back and they are not worth half that price im afraid.. Acti fry on the other hand is way better

sorry to condemn but I wouldn't bother as from experience they're cheap and nasty in every way - full of rotting tats with black bits in

Dirty Potatoes. Mmmm yummy

Thanks op, heat added. Bought a sack using my sun £5 fruit and veg voucher, will store them in my garage and they should keep for the couple of months it takes to use them up!

put them in the shed, they'll keep for a good month plus.

Next time you are buying potatoes in paper bag ,check bag that shows no sign of wetness.

Just bought 2 bags. They had loads most were Kestrel variety but I had a good root around and found some Maris pipers. Wouldn't have bothered with the kestrel's though.

As long as you store them in the bag with the top closed so they're nice and dark I find they tend to last 2/3 months (until i need a new bag) because they're not washed they last a lot longer :-)

Agree with this, also keep them in a cool place.

Seeing unwashed and morrisons in the same sentence has greatly amused me!

wow that's a great deal considering that our local 'spud man' charges £4 per 5kg!!! HOT

My local farm shop must be above average then or you live in an area where they are happy to not get repeat business.
