Beautiful wistful, youthful cynicism became a bitter rambling old man - I can relate

Seriously, heat for the price but Morrissey hasn't been likeable as a person or an all round artist for a long time. I always try to give his albums a chance due to my fondness for The Smith's and his early solo work but I can't say I've enjoyed any overall since at least You Are The Quarry, if not Vauxhall wholeheartedly.

He's just so clunky lyrically these days and the music itself almost an after thought - the scores being almost interchangeable and not a concern of Morrissey as long as he gets to say what he wants

Oh well, enough said
Yeah.. massive morrissey and smiths fan having to deal with the fact that he keeps shoving down our throats the fact that he's a full on breixt/ukip/racist headbanger.

I've found it impossible to ignore now which is so sad, I feel like I've been robbed of part of my youth.

Like finding out someone you knew and had no issue with turns out to be all Yew Tree.. very sad.
Used to like Morrissey. Then he went a bit loopy

That's an extremely presumptuous generalization that i'm sure many here would disagree with

I speak for myself only. If people care to agree or disagree that's on you or them.

Everything shouldn't have to be prefaced with 'in my opinion' for every single written sentence. It should be a given unless people are saying otherwise.

Personally I've seen enough and heard enough of the man over the last 30 odd years to stand by what I said. Besides which, i mentioned I still like to try to give his new albums a fair shake musically. I just think they would have mostly sunk for the last 15 years without his past glories and his name attached

In my opinion.

I used to be a fan of his and chose not to believe the bad things written about him.

Now I know he is a moron and I can ignore him for the rest of my days.

Cold as he has turned into a right bitter and twisted old bigot
Spent the day in bed is quality. Ordered!
Cheers OP. Heat.
A great album and tackles issues everybody dodges. However like many I hoped he was toying with us on the political right wing tendencies, now it seems he is a racist islamophobe
this is a great records..it also came on clear vinyl which was nice ....definitely agree its not on the level of the smiths, but in a totally fked up society like this, very few people are speaking out so its a nice change.
