Hmm they must have just taken it down as I checked the code an hour ago.. try this one buddy VC20100
Seems that most of them are poly-viscose. House of Fraser have an excellent suit sale ongoing, I got a Skopes 50% wool 3 piece suit, pocket handkerchief, fancy tie and free real leather wallet (selling for 20 quid separately) for just over 100 quid delivered.

Great deal. Does anyone know if for Jacket/Waistcoat measurements they want your 'chest' width or your 'natural waist' fit? It doesn't make that clear in the size guide!
Great deal thanks
Great offer but their website crashed 3 times whilst trying to order. Still not processed...

Apparently chest fit, but I had to go 2 sizes down from what I was measured up as in store. So if you’re an XL like me, size 42-44 would be your best bet compared to 46-48 like some other suit brands I’ve had in the past.. hope that helps
There's £10 off orders over £50 if you sign up too (or use an alt email)

Just tried it and it works, so £56 delivered
Just a heads up I was looking yesterday for a suit on Moss Bros website and can see that some of the flash sales are not really any different than what they were before the apparent flash sale (couple of quid). In the end took advantage of the suit direct "coming home" 28% 24 hour discount

I got measured in the shop the other week for a suit, she measured my chest.. Hopefully that helps you

looks like a great buy but i've never bought suits before i have no idea what size to choose from. Why did i choose to become a lawyer and not a football coach wearing shorts and t-shirts

If unsure, just order a bunch of different sizes then return the ones that don’t fit free of charge. I’m sure as a lawyer you can afford to be a bit more extravagant with your suit purchases anyway

Added a few ties and pocket squares to get the free wallet and delivery as well
Imagine if they had the £50 off a £250 spend again on Amex that could stack lol.

If you just bought that, I would strongly recommend you buy a second pair of trousers if you can. It's very good practice, especially as it is a 3 piece as well. The trousers will always go first, and you will never match them properly if you don't get them now.

The HoF stuff is quite nice, and I also bought a Skopes one last year ( with a spare pair of trousers :-) )

They do a very nice Ice Blue one as well for the same price. I've now ended up with 2 good quality 3 pce suits for the same price as buying one Ben Sherman suit from Suit Direct that I imitially had my eye on.

Good advice. Unfortunately, after linking to the suit in my earlier post, my size of trouser is now OOS! Oh well....

Just pop into any shop that sells lots of suits and try a few on.Just like all other clothes, a 46R jacket in one make will be a different size to a 46R in another, but, they are usually with a couple of inches. This will give you an idea of what size you need at least, and then you can just order accordingly, maybe ordering 2 different sizes and returning one.

Standard sizing for suits is a 6 inch difference between waist and chest, so a 34" trouser will usually be paired with a 40" jacket, but if you are like me you might need to buck that trend and get a bigger jacket :-) . 40S / 40R / 40L simply means short regular long and applies to the length of the jacket and sleeves. Waistcoats tend to be the same size as the jacket, but are more forgiving if you want to go a size up as you simply pull them in to fit with the strap.

Wool, or at least a mainly wool mix is usually preferable (Wool breathes, so you sweat less), with cashmere being the ultimate.

If you are going to get any real use out of a suit, always, always, always buy a second pair of trousers at the same time. They will go first, and you will not be able to match them again afterwards.

If you see a really stonking deal on a quality suit, and sizing is just a bit off, have it tailored. Down south here it costs about £8 to have trousers taken up, £11 if hemmed. About 10 to have them taken in, or let out if there is enough in the trouser.

If money is really tight, check out charity shops. You can get some amazing bargains, and if you have them tailored they will look superb for not a lot of money. Occasionally you will come across brand new unworn suits even, but even if not brand new, you can find some nearly new stuff that is amazing. £10 or so at the dry cleaners to have it cleaned (never ever ever ever wash a suit!!!!!)

Lastly, work out how to tie a Windsor knot in a tie. It's simple to do and looks so much more effective, and in your profession, people will know :-)

If they have a size up, it is about £10 at a tailors to have them altered. You might also get fatter ( I speak from experience :-) ), so no need to alter right away :-)

From a distance no one will know its "plastic"
If you wear suits regularly for work and need a couple of light travel suits, these are great. I got two when it was posted the other day and there's nothing 'low end' about them - far superior to Suit Direct and some of the others. Student discount works too, so two for £105.
Gutted they didn't have the trousers in my size for the suit i wanted. Heat anyways

Another top interview tip - speak your answers out loud rather than writing them down.
Another 23 quid gets you a not too low end Wool Mix 3 piece suit. IIRC also offer student discount and decent Quidco cashback.
