MOT at Formula One Autocentre £15

Found 19th Sep 2017
Book online at Rainham branch and get MOT for £15.

Also use 10% voucher code SEPMOT10 to get it down to £13.50. Don't forget 10.1% TopCashBack on top of that.

£15 might be available at other branches too.

Never used them before so might be a trap for them to find faults.

They seem to have good reviews.

If you have a fairly new car or know of no issues with it then might be worth a punt?

Update 23-Sep-17:

Just used them for MOT and had no problems.

Also, I should highlight that their T&Cs state that if MOT failed the repair can be done at another garage. If car is bought back before the end of next working day then the retest is free. Bought back within 7 days then the retest is £14.75. After that it will be the full retest fee. So what's the risk?

They will use that to get you in and then prepare to get the lube out.

Not voting either way, but it is something to be aware of.

Absolutly awful company gf went in for 2 new tyres came out with a whole new front end costing around 700 quid made her cry in the gagrage telling her she could of killed someone as her car was dangerous which was complete balls
Either stay and watch your car get tested or don't use them full stop.

Use them to get an M.O.T only, do not use them for anything else.

I used the Formula One Autocentre in Oxford for 2 tyres. Took them over a hour to fit as had it on a ramp finding faults.
Would never use them of a mot

no they will turn you over as much as they can I have never been without them finding something else to charge you for and I have never gone through with a visit because i just didnt trust them, if its a tyre then yes if price is right but not any jobs that the price aint fixed stop going now at all
Probably the most disreputable garage I have ever had the misfortune to use
Used these for years, always found them very good
Only failed our 13 year old car on discoloured indicator bulbs which they didn't even offer to repair on a 24 quid mot. Cant see any problem in our experience.
Bunch of cowboys. Once went there for a service. They never carried out the service and tried to lumber me with a £800 bill. Took to another garage and said nothing was required.
Crooks stay away.

Anyone used the Rainham branch before? Also, are kwik-fit, Halfords all cowboys? What garages are decent
I have used this company in the past (when I used to run older cars) and always found it to be very good for servicing and inspections. I have voted hot, although I suspect this item will attract lots of cold votes from HUKD subscribers who have had to pay to have a car repaired at some time in their lives.
:-)
Christ, I hate these people, I got £20 in vouchers 3 years ago after they screwed up fitting and balancing 4 tyres, should have known better as I used the voucher last month and have been back 3 times until I gave up as they can't balance a wheel properly as the machines shagged at the "flagship" Nottingham Glasshouse branch after being told to use that one over the idiots running Long Eaton.

Spend more at a decent garage.

As for the MOT, I would rather pay my local MOT only place £45 for an honest MOT, my car has failed once in 10 years, bet it would pass once in 10 years at F1

Masters of the upsell, from what I heard tabhanging on a telephone conversation to a customer. As previous poster advised - if you choose to use them for an MOT make sure you STAY AND WATCH.

Take your car to your local Council run testing station. These jokers will spend more time quoting for parts and boring you to tears about the oil they use than actually testing your car.

Bit pointless if they purposely fail you, you’re sick with no mot and will have to pay elsewhere for another one.

Just wanted to say that I did my MOT in the Rainham branch today for £13.50 (plus TopCashback) and passed with no issues. I even had a tyre that was damaged (pointed out by 2 other garages during a precheck) and so they could have failed me but didn't.
