Good device but massively flawed, the PIR should be separate from the dialling unit, otherwise it will be immediately on show and the cable easily pulled out.

but that would cost a lot more :?

ya can put these virtually anywhere , doesn't have to be on show

.........good for wind ups too

It has to be on show enough for you to enter the code and for it to be capable of sensing somebody has entered the property. It limits it massively.

enter the code and hide it on a shelf , aint hard

I have 1 of this, I get a lot of false alarm into my phones. the pir is not accurate.

You then have to re-enter and disable the unit, a nice trial of cable from the unit to your phone line will be very obvious. I just think it's a toy in this respect, not a security device. Again, I like it, but it is massively flawed.

A full voice dialler is not much more expensive and can be added to decent alarm systems and hidden fully through it being hardwired in, nobody would ever know that it was dialling, be it on a panic alarm or through the normal alarm activation methods.

Does this have a loudspeaker, so when it calls you you can shout "Oi, feck off!" at the burglar?

Instead of buying this rubbish why not buy ]this educational film that will demonstrate how to defend your home from intruders.
