Good value money.

In my opinion - the best phone - in this price range.

Back to the original December 2013 price at Tesco Direct. Locked to Tesco Mobile, however they have good bundles (e.g. £7.50 1gb data and free credit).

Unlocks are available, links on hotukdeals.com

You could try TDX-PRKW - you will need to register with an email address that you haven't used on the Tesco website as yet.

How's that working out for you? I'm interested in a dual sim Moto G
Edited by: "spannerzone" 17th Jun 2014

Dual sim is ok. my existing samsung mega dual sim is playing up. really pleased with the smaller moto g dual sim.

Good deal, good network.

Thanks a lot op, got it for 119£ with the TDX-PRKW.

Tx OP been waiting for this, also used the £10 off.

You've said yourself it was this price 6 months ago an I'm sure it has been cheaper as some places in the intermediate time. How is this hot now considering the release of the new versions and the pace at which mobiles become obsolete?

Because, unless its cheaper elsewhere, this is the best price for this phone. Fact there are new versions etc doesn't come into it.

You will think. But the op is right the 16gb is very hard to find at a good price. There were some deals at Christmas as is usually the case but since then it has been very hard to find. Personally at this point though I would hold out for the 8gb 4G with SD card which launches at the end of the month. Still hot though.

paid this price quite a while back for this model, but completely agree the 16gb is worth the extra - i'd have been frustrated juggling apps and music a long time ago with just 8gb.

I have to say I'm very happy with the one I bought from Tesco, I think I paid £139 minus a money off voucher.

Reminds me, I've not tried the OTG cable I bought to see if it'll let me expand the memory that way.

I can't believe how much more I'm using it, I had a basic smartphone before, internet was unusable, in fact most of it was.

The Moto G feels worth so much more than it costs, to me, tho I've not played around with any top end stuff.

Moto G rocks,love it,just not sure I'll get a new phone

Great phone, I personally went for the 8GB and find it works well for what I use it for.

looking to go sim only,

what's best:

claiming on my insurance on my Samsung galaxy s3 and getting a brand new one for £75 excess

or buying the moto g?

where from? cheers

Although I preferred the Moto over the S3, I would claim and get a S3 for £75, better camera, better screen, memory expansion and less money

Not sure of Sim size tho? Anyone know which the phone will take. My one only takes micro Sim.

How about claiming for the S3, selling on eBay bnib for a profit, then buy the Moto G 8gb with SD slot when it is released next month?

Mind you would claiming cause insurance premiums to increase next year?

Well known auction site. Seller from Hunslow gets them in from the far east. Comes in a sealed box with a UK phone charger!

Love this phone, wouldn't go back to an iPhone after having this, easy to use, quicker to navigate and never let's me down

not a bad choice. dual not quad core but bigger screen. 4g, micro sd socket. I went for moto g in 2013 but had it been now.. tough choice, depending on what you need most.

Can't wait for 20000 "deals" for the 4g version

That is 30 pounds for 8 more GB of flash memory. I fail to see the bargain...

guess these are tied to Tesco. Whats their sim deals like.

Can get it unlocked £ 1.69 from ebay ebay.co.uk/itm…380

Good, but bear in mind the 4G / MicroSD card version of the Moto G is just around the corner and it won't be that much more expensive than this.

What are you claiming for?

Awesome phone for the money, ordered a 16gb for £119 (with code) before Christmas for the wife and she's been very happy with it. Just shows you how popular this phone has been over the past 6 months as it has kept it's value. Hopefully they will drop in price once the 4G version is out.

Thanks - Good Deal - just bought one and added heat

That is for the 8GB version, this deal is for the 16GB.

Thanks OP - ordered this for my sons birthday next month for £119 using code - top buy, at least I can use my Note 3 now !

This or the nexus 4?

Nexus 4 I'd say.

Decent price, but think I may hold off and wait for the 4g version which is out next month I think
