Don't forget to also use promo code ukwelcome10, to take the price all the way down to £79.01. It is also worth mentioning that using the 2 codes on the 16GB storage/2GB RAM version makes it only £109.01, well worth considering.

Out of Stock

Why do people keep on posting deals for the 1gb/8gb version of this phone?

In 2016, a phone like that is virtually obsolete and definitely not future proof.

This is just £90 down the drain.

COLD.

Don't vote cold for the deal because you don't like the product. The voting system is designed for people to vote whether or not deals are good, not whether the products are good. That's what reviews are for.

For non-gamers it's a good deal. 1gb/8gb with an SD card never bothers me.

Its perfectly adequate for most normal people with a life. I agree its not 'cool' enough for pale teenagers with acne and no real-wold friends.

The only people who think it's "perfectly adequate" are the mugs who just spent £90 on one and are trying to justify the bad purchase in their own minds when they could have got significantly better for less money.

I have this phone already, it's really good. Many people think it looks like an iPhone 6 because it is the same size. It has nice features such as if you twist the phone it will turn the camera on. The camera is good quality especially for an android phone. I'm paying around £15 a month for this phone on tesco mobile so I think it's definitely worth it.

Deal is ok. I paid 99.95 in john lewis on monday

as it's stock android it runs quite well considering the specs

People with a life don't need more than 1GB RAM and 8GB storage...

What a useless deal. You don't tell us the codes. List the spec for 2 phones.. a made of a deal!

And it was posted a few days ago...

Word of warning, do not buy the 8GB version - you will forever be deleting things, clearing the cache or wiping your phone! Especially after the 6.0.1 update. Phones with 8GB storage, which is actually just 5GB for the user, should not be allowed in 2016-17...

And having an SD card makes no difference - the internal storage will still fill up over time and slow your phone to a grinding halt.

They should be allowed if they are sensibly priced like 02 - £69 or Vodafone - £79

Where the MotoG lacks in memory/storage, it makes up in build quality, ease of use etc

Which significantly better phone would you recommend then ?

Bought 8gb version for the wife. No games on it. Just BBC, Facebook, Kindle App, Watsapp and Google Drive and the thing is unusable. It keeps running out of storage no matter how much you move the stuff to the SD card or Google Drive. Niece took it home and wiped everything clean off it just to do a system update. I wouldn't touch the bloody thing because I am fed up of wasting hours trying to reclaim a few megabites of storage space. Lovely phone, does everything and more but 8 GB version is rubbish. Your photos and received messages etc would fill it up in no time.

PS. I haven't voted it cold. Would buy the 16gb version without hesitation.

Sure 16GB would be better but I personally never had a problem with the 8GB Moto G 1st & 2nd gen. Different strokes...

NFC, are you sure?

For this posting that 8gb is enough stop your nonsense please. I have customers in my store everyday with the issue of running out of space on their phone. Regular people who just use their device normally. Stop buying 8gb phones, 16gb should be the minimum you consider.

I merged my wife's 8gb storage with sd card and she stopped complaining about lack of storage even though our 5yo son keeps downloading some games onto the phone.

Out of stock? I press 'build yours' and no way to add to cart...

The SD card will not store or operate a lot of apps in Marshmallow Andropid 6 despite claims it does!

You still need internal memory. Minimum requirements if you are running a lot of apps is 2GB Ram and 16GB internal memory.

8GB was adequate a couple of years ago but not today with the latest apps

Spend more and get the MOTO G4 about £150

What he says in post 30^^^
Yes it does.
But that doesnt mean that every app will go onto that portion of the memory

Agreed, it's becoming increasingly annoying to manage the storage on my Moto G 2nd Gen, and as apps get more bloated they are constantly force-closing due to low memory conditions, eg: I can no longer play my music while using the sat nav, which is a big pain. 1GB/8GB really isn't enough any more.

That's a lot more expensive, especially if you're buying from a UK retailer.

Wileyfox swift is an alternative, £95 from Amazon.

You could risk it with a cubot or doogee, but even the good cheap imports are still cheap imports with their various quality issues...

The one from HK Goldway with the Global ROM is as clean as a whistle.

There's a lot of Motorola haters on here (_;) had this phone for 4 months and haven't had a problem with it
