posting knowing full well I will feel the wrath of anti tesco-ers
750 mins, 2000 texts, 2GB of 4G data with a Moto G handset.
the handset is mid range spec at a budget price. it runs very well - only downside is a poor camera. but all else is pretty good.
tesco use O2 masts and have good customer support. 16 per month seems a reasonable price to me. lots of mins/ texts plus 2GB of 4G data which is very nice!

Why? It isn't like you need any faster on a mid range budget phone really is it? The processor and screen wouldn't use the the faster speeds anyway.

Not bad for decent 4g phone with a reasonable amount of data, whilst the phone is 4g capable, 02's 4g service is pretty sparse at the moment however this should change over the 24 month deal so its worth having.....

rather buy pay as u go phone

EE has a similar 4G deal which is £10 for the phone upfront and then £22.99 per month but its 4G network at the moment is far better.....

If you live and use your mobile mainly in a large city (these tend to be covered by O2 for 4G) then go for this deal. You can use the coverage checker on the Tesco Mobile website for 4G coverage before you buy !!

the phone is 4.50 per month. i selected the 11.50 tariff which would suit me but there is a 9.50 if u want , for those not wanting so many mins and texts and data.

I bet you wouldn't buy a car without go-faster stripes either.

got this deal about a month ago the phone is great and the 4G works fine I have had a windows phone and an iphone and I can honestly say this phone is better than either, the only cons are the camera quality and it is not compatable with sky go yet

Good deal, shame tesco/o2 signal out of my local town is dreadful. Tesco customer service when I was with them was superb.

Yep, tesco UK call centres are a god send, but you don't know that until you try to explain to virgin's foreign call centre that there's an issue.

I just hope o2 pull their finger out and get their 4g up together quickly, I'll be back if they do.

they (O2) dropped their broadband service (sold it to SKY) to concentrate more on their mobile phone service , apparently. we'll see. not had a problem with them over the years.

I didn't realise o2 or vodafone had released 3g as yet... Last time I checked non existent. Hopefully 4g on this would make it better...

Nice mid range phone. Not sure about the data plan though.
My daughters Moto G 4G cost £130 sim free and I happened to have a discounted contract plan with Three Network that I had not cancelled because it was only a fiver a month. So she is getting unlimited 4G for £5 per month and with the initial outlay, total cost for 2yrs is £250. Thats unlimited data and texts but only 100 mins though. Also only works if you can negotiate a discount with them for not cancelling like I did. Plus they dont have 4G everywhere, so depending where you live will depend which network you need. If you are in Three's 4G area and you cant get a discounted deal with them it could still be a nice deal as they dont charge extra for 4G over 3G.
