I dunno, depends what you use it for. If you find the idea of watching a film on a small screen stupid, have realized that 90% of the apps on the app store are rubbish (and the ones that are a couple of GB in size get boring quick) and prefer to have your music on player dedicated to music (for sound quality reasons or just so you're not draining your phone battery).. The 8gb is plenty, really.

I don't know about others, but personally the novelty of 'Ooh I can do all this' wears off shortly, and it's just nice to have something that's reliable to use as a phone and occasional web browser. Which, this phone does perfectly, and with the 4-5gb you've got left over you've still got a space for a fair bit of stuff.. Assuming you don't want Need For Speed as that'll eat about half of it.

(Had mine for a couple of months and haven't had any issues with the capacity.. yet)

Apart from camera there's not really much in them considering the price difference when I bought the Nexus.Just replaced the Mrs' clapped out S2 with a Moto G too, brilliant handsets.

Yup. The Cameras actually pretty good. Try the HDR mode.

I'm guessing it will. Only 2 quid for an unlock code on Ebay though.

You might be ok, don't Ovivo use the vodaphone network? If it doesn't work, it's only £2 from ebay and most people have reported getting an unlock code in less than an hour

Not sure if 8gb would be enough, but can't bring myself to pay the extra £40 for the 16gb.

I got mine from these guys:

The unlock code came through within 30 minutes. Phone unlocked like a dream. Amazing.

I have had the 8 GB for a month, plenty space for me. I prefer watching stuff on my big TV and listening to tunes on my walkman. Game wise, most are rubbish as you say. Touchscreen controls are rubbish for the good ones. Joypad or mouse and keyboard any day!

Such a great phone for £100... Latest version of Android . 20 hour battery life. Very snappy. Seems 1gb ram is all you need. 2gb left on mine had since launch

Don't get me wrong, the camera is perfectly fine for on the spot snaps. Not played about with it though so will try that mode thanks.

There is/has been a few of these, The fact remains they are all worth voting up as the phone is head and shoulders above ANYTHING in the price range. Unless you've cash to burn. The ebay unlock thing is as easy as pie.

Nice thread. I went for the 50GB Google drive. Worth noting that if you take a photo(maybe video too) you can set it to google+ and view on your account on your PC and view them or download to Pc from there. I'm sure someone could describe it better. Ps I know no one uses google+ but it's handy for this...

Chargers are never handy, I only have about 6-7 spare. That's why HTC bucked the trend and stopped giving one a while ago...

Fantastic phone with nano-coated technology allowing full use in the rain :-)

Buy phone, update KitKat with OTA - Unlock Bootloader - Root Phone - Install Xposed Framework then finally install GravityBox (KK edition obviously!)!

The Moto G is sooooooooo much better once GravityBox is installed, I have now removed the annoying software buttons and can now appreciate the whole of the amazing IPS screen. Pie pop up Nav controls is massively better allowing greater control and options :-)
