Good deal, shame about the lack of a micro sd slot. Surely one of these upcoming competitor phones has to include one.

Paid £1.99 first through e bay money back guarantee . They ask you EMEI number on the box or on the battery under back flip cover , Model -moto 8GB , Provider - O2 . In a few hours they give you a unlock number .Insert the wrong sim and enter the number at the first screen. It is as simple as that but if your instructions differ then follow them accordingly

do these work?

Why do this when you can get a pay monthly from Tesco 18gb Moto G for only £12.50 with 250 mins, 5000 texts and half a gig of data?

100% the codes work, simple as that.

EBay unlocking works a charm. Bought my moto on Tesco mobile. Unlock code emailed in under an hour, now on Talkmobile

fantastic phone got the 16gb version on cheap Tesco contract a few months ago, surprisingly fast and v nice screen, 8gb might get full a bit quick hence why I plumbed for the larger brother, the reason it doesn't have a microsd slot or even a wall charger is to cut cost, that's why u get a very good phone very cheap.

Was very close to buying this today but it turns out if you have a PAYG sim card you don't have to buy it with a top-up, but if you buy it with a contract sim going in the phone you have to buy a £10 top up with the phone!! Safe to say I walked away from that deal

hawwwwwwwwwt giffgaff giffgaff giffgaff giffgaff

Because some people don't want to be tied to a contract...?

I'd rather pay £10 for 600mins unlimted texts and 1GB of data on a 1 month rolling contract and buy the phone outright, than pay 12.50 on a 18/24 month contract. Over 24 months, It only works out £33 more expensive. Most people value not being tied down for 2 years over £33 quid.

Not sure what you are talking about but I managed to order one (have a pay monthly contract already) without having to purchase a top-up. From what I can make out, you buy the phone for £99 and they'll send you a SIM which you top-up your amount if using PAYG. My SIM will be filed under BIN!

Some people don't like contracts. I will never have another after having been bent over too many times and learnt my lesson.

Give Tesco a call as i did one month into my contract and for £13 they can give you 1000 mins 5000 texts and 2GB data a month

Of course.

Top phone, unlock code cost £2 and was sent in 25 mins. Great screen, top battery life and very much the best phone in this price bracket.

I agree. I'd never use a contract again, if only to avoid the butt pain you receive when you try and end your contract.

You get 250 Mins, 300 texts and 500MB of data from Ovivo for nothing. I got a 16GB Moto G for a total of £104 after discount codes and pay zero every month for my calls and data via Ovivo.

The contract for Tesco is over two years, which brings the total cost to £300. So you're effectively paying an extra £200 for 4,700 extra texts per month.

Here's something some people need to realise: Mobile phone companies are throwing texts at customers because no one is using them. There is little need to send so many texts with applications such as Whatsapp around.

Got this for cheap from Tesco. Great phone, not perfect, but very close. Currently no better phone out there for anywhere near this price.

Unlocking it sounds and appears problematic situation but it is not and once unlocked you will be delighted .

Ovivo as well.
As a low user there is no way I will go through 250 mins of calls and 300 texts per month.
Therefore the cost for this deal is £99 plus £20 ovivo sim and £2 unlock code = £121 over 2 years.

Compared to Tesco £12.50 x24 = £300,

Therefore if low user this deal is great.

Got one last week on Vodafone pop in talk talk sim which on a deal here was 300,3000,1gb for 5 quid sim only 12 months and 15 cash back so. 3.50 effectively. Great phone great deal for me... Class. Phone is very fast, great screen great battery, I'm a happy man

Texting should always have bee much cheaper or free used up none of the network capability, was just a rip off

Search eBay for 'Moto G unlock code' prices start around £1.75.

I unlocked one on Vodafone and used the seller at £1.79 - code promptly received and worked first time.

It doesn't really matter what network you buy it from - Vodafone, Tesco or O2 its essentially the same phone, same 24 month warranty - just decide whether you want an 8GB or a 16GB model and take it from there. (_;)

Is 8GB enough and do you need to unlock to use giffgaff?
