Found 5th Feb 2014
[edited as was pointed out the tesco version is £110, whereas the sim free is £129]£10 less than the tesco unlocked deal.

My guess would be locked to vodafone but there seems to be links to getting it sim unlocked.

Tech Specs can be found here gsmarena.com/mot…php

Shame they havent got the 16GB model but this seems a steal for those on a tight budget but get a great phone for the money

Good find, just forget about the Sim version

Heat.

The tesco locked one is £110 so a £10 saving is a nice deal.

Great phone as had mine since december and this is better than many much more expensive phones.

I think

I still think you need to add £10 topup, unless you already have a Vodafone SIM of course

Anyone know if an Ovivo sim would work in this. Thanks.

Good find.

I got mine from tesco. great phone for price.

You can get this phone unlocked for £1.99. i used the serivce and have to say they are brillant. They are listed on hotukdeals along with a 99p case that comes with screen protector.

Here you go

Got one from Vodafone,it's unlocked.

I'm just wondering, will this have any Vodafone branding (Logo's / splash-screen / bloat-ware)
I know the Tesco one doesn't, hopefully this will be the same...

Yes, Ovivo use Vodafone.

agreed it should work

I bought this from Tesco at the weekend, £104.99. Unlocked it for £1.99 from a place on eBay and an existing Talk Mobile Sim worked straight away.
The 16gb version was £139.99.

when I ordered my old HUAWEI G510 from Vodafone a few months ago it did not require a top up.

it was locked to the Vodafone network, and came in a Vodafone box, but the phone itself was completely unbranded. their was a splash screen on startup and a couple of Vodafone stuff which was quickly uninstalled!

Anyone else manage to get an unlocked one?

Pity its only the 8gb I think 16gb is needed as a min tbh

Don't upgrade to kitkat, this phone is near unusable with it, signal drops and goes into airplane mode on its own. As yet there is no fix for this. It was fantastic on jellybean :-(

I updated mine to KitKat and works very well.

mine works absolutely perfectly with KitKat

if you upgrade to KitKat you will lose USB access unless you get 3rd party app like total commander and USB stick plugin

Sorry never heard of vodaphone so can't help you.

Mines is fine on Kit Kat too, stuck with Tesco Mobile sim only, £10 quid a month. Got the 99p case with screen protector and stylus from Ebay too. Nice case. It went up to £3.50 though. Obv a misprice originally!

Using giffgaff with the tesco version. Upgraded to kitkat and not had any signal problems (and I've been travelling a lot lately). Was not aware of the usb problem. I always use wifi and es file Explorer anyway so no biggie.

This is a great phone for £100.

I use Ovivo and haven't had any signal problems or airplane mode problems and I'm on KitKat, strange that.

Can't understand problem with KitKat, I'm O2 and perfect since upgrade???

Agreed. I wouldn't even consider the 8GB version, too little storage.

Vodafone's customer service is appalling. would rather pay more n deal with tesco

Reading this has completely put me off this phone. Hopefully they'll bring out a new update to cure these issues as having no signal is a bit of a pain. Odd some people aren't suffering the issues but many are.

Good deal excellent phone as per all reviews. KitKat upgrade nobbled my phone though so it goes to aeroplane mode every so often which means it doesn't actually receive incoming calls(I'm on tesco). Might be worth holding off for a little while.

Don't be put off. As I said. Not 1 signal problem with kitkat and upgraded on day 1

Will be interesting to know when anyone buys this if it is unlocked or not.

I'm on Vodafone and no problems.

I'm using my 16Gb version on Three, with KitKat. Not seen any issues

Yup don't be put off by some folks saying they are having issues. It's a great phone. No idea how it is so cheap tbh!

No nfc, wireless charging and average camera. But any other phone with those 3 things cost 3 times more. Not worth it IMHO.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S3 on T-Mobile. The phone has been playing up something terrible recently and was going to get another phone to do me till my upgrade in August as I am going back to the iphone.

My question is, would I notice much difference in the 2 phones?
