Sounds like a great price, as someone who doesn't really know much about phones do you know if this will be a improvement on my moto g the one with the larger screen? I find it is so slow now that it seems to struggle with anything

No will find out about a factory reset thanks, I don't really have any apps, bank, whatsapp and dominos lol I had the smaller moto g and it seemed so much faster than the 5 inch version but then I have used it for way over a year without doing a reset so hopefully that will sort it

It was never mentioned for Moto G4.
It's for Moto G4 play

Would this be an improvement over my Motorola Moto G2 or is it better paying a bit more for the G4?

Is this unlocked?

try having the 8gb version! I don't use many apps but with all the updates my phone is pretty much full.
I have 32gb card but some apps when moved to SD card don't run at all or are ridiculously slow.

Not really. You will only notice a difference if the storage is always full on your G2, as this has an extra 8GB. Otherwise the specs are pretty much the same.

Don't buy!!!!!!

1gb RAM. Spent the extra£20 and get the 2hb version

it is 1gb ram version....you can buy 2gb from argos for 10 GBP more... however good hot

If it's 1GB RAM I really wouldn't bother

does it support fast charging?

All versions of the G4 Play in the UK are 1GB RAM. The specs listed on the Argos site are incorrect.

Are there different versions of this phone?

Motorola say it has 1GB Ram but Argos suggests 2GB?

Edit - I see my question has just been answered!

So, with Android 6, is only 1GB still a serious limitation?
My Android 4.3 tablet lags a lot with 1GB Ram but my S4 Mini phone with 1.5GB seems rather better.

I haven't had a phone with 1GB RAM for a few years but I'd personally want 2GB RAM just so that if there's any slowdown or performance issues I can say for sure it's not because of the RAM being too small.

Great phone .My son have one....So far so good...

My wife's Moto G3 with 1GB of Ram is *painfully* slow. Wish I'd realised this, but reviews didn't highlight just how bad it would be with half dozen apps installed (even after factory reset).

It's what the third time code stacking has worked on this within a month or so?

I think they are quite happy to let codes stack on this regularly as they know it's still a bit more than it's worth and yet makes it seem good value.

They change codes. But they do allow it to happen.

Bought one perfect for my 10 year old son Thanks!

1gb RAM. Meh.

your best bet would be to use your SD as internal memory, I'd recommend uhs 3 card if your gonna do it tho. I had uhs 1 which people said was fast enough and it lagged like mad!

or, root your device and install apps2sd

Agree why bother putting 1gB in a phone these days

Because evidently they can still make people think they are getting a hot deal and sell them.

I'm so out of touch with technology these days. Would this be an improvement on my aged HTC One M7??? Any advice appreciated.

locked to Motorola network

My husband & me both had a Moto G, loved it, didn't have any issues with it. When my contact ended I went with a Moto g 3rd gen & I absolutely hate it, it's so slow!!

does this model have 2gb ram as well. ?the one on argos is the same thing then??

ours is faulty. The back button stops working and the top drop down menu didn't work unless you keep factory reset it.

technically yes, but in general use you'd prob hate it. the m7 and m8 are a premium phone, this is more a budget offering.

avoid the play edition, even tho it is cheap, and a good deal, there's always a benefit to more ram with Android.
