Good phone , I bought from £99 from O2 near boxing day. Seems to have gone up in price.

When P8 lite 2017 for 10 pounds more is significantly better then why get this?

Great phone, very quick and reliable unit with great battery life. Heat from me
Got one on the Black Friday offer (which ran several weeks) for £89.99 for my Mother. Looking for one for myself - will wait till it returns to that price.

Nice phone but would like it cheaper!
picked one up for the mum when they were 89 quid.

Proper dump camera, but it does her
No topup required when bought online, so the price is £119.99, guys...

I'd love to argue with this, as I previously always had Moto G phones, but the P8 Lite 2017 is really good for the cash.

I was after one myself a while ago, but settled for a Sony Xperia X in the end. Similar spec.

The main difference is the 3gb over 2gb of ram. It makes a big difference if you're irritated by browsing lag. The processor on the Moto G5 being less powerful than its predecessor the G4 is hard to understand as well.

I'd be v surprised if the g5 camera is worse than p8lite. And I'm typing this from p8lite. G5 is what I'd get if it had a compass.. tbh i don't really like either phone haha. Overall I'd give nod to huawei

Thanks for the info, it makes a huge difference putting in G6 and not M6, Well it has been driving me around the bend looking at mobiles for the first time hence the M6

You can get the P8 Lite 2017 from Vodafone for only £99 + £10 top up. What's not to like?
I bought for this price last year.
Did it online , so avoided the topup cost.
When i went to pickup the guy gave me a free blank sim , I left it on the counter when I scarppered
Best feature is the fingerprint sensor , which acts as a tiny touch pad and allows left swipes for "Back" and right swipes for for "Apps", long press for lock, short press for home.

For that alone and will by Moto again

COCO
I have the MOTOG3 unlocked from O2 (for Plusnet mobile) and looking to upgrade. Is this full of bloatware from O2 like my current model? And is it a couple of pounds from an bidding site to unlock or a more elaborate process?.

Thanks
I'd get the Nokia 5 for £20 less. Only downside is the lower resolution screen but it looks fine, and it may be harder to unlock but not sure.

The screen on these are pretty fragile, a screen protector is essential.

Not particularly loaded with bloatware. Think we got a code for about £1.49 or £1.79 from ebay to unlock - very simple process. It takes a nano sim - so had to get one of these as old phone had a micro sim - my Mother is with Tesco and they gave her one for free.

Only 1080p isn't it a bit blocky for your eyes?
Not a bad deal, but I bought this before Xmas at £89.99, with no top up required, still heat added.
This doesn't work from the link provided - now shows £139.99

However, refurb model still shows at £119.99. If this is what is meant it should be made clear & correct link provided.
