Voted hot because it's sub-£100, but not for me with 16gb.

25 quid for a 128Gb card?..! £13 for 64?..! Voted hot. Great price.

I'm still waiting for my £45 from TCB for a new SIM activation last Christmas....

Anyway of getting out of buying the £10 goody bag
Will John Lewis price match this?
Hot, just for the removable battery.

Good price, but too weak in the SOC department for me.
Voted hot.
Great phone, currently using. Added micro SD to boost storage!
Not an all day phone for medium to high usage. Swayed me to get the G6 play after seeing how the sons G5 performs. Better screen on the G5 though.
Good price however for light users.

Does the G5 allow transfer of all apps to SD

It is a great price but how does Micro SD help with app storage? I've got a 16GB P9 Lite with a 128GB memory card but I still frequently run out of space because it's only really media that can be stored on it.
Worst phone I've ever owned, crashes constantly, slow, could never get Audible or Instagram to work on it without freezing, just bought an £80 Huawei which is much better. Not voting hot or cold as maybe mine had issues
Giffgaff STILL are not rolling over spare data from last month on their goody bags. You lose it.
This is why they are losing an awful lot of customers to Sky.

Re: the phones, the Moto G6 and G6 plus have image retention problems with their screens. The phone on the OP offer is the G5 - last year's model, which is why they are so heavily discounted.

Using one now, still capable for light to medium use. Got mine for £65, £105 retail with £40 back from O2 for buggering up delivery.

eBay unlock for a couple of quid if necessary.

Did run out of memory until I reformatted the SD card, now seems fine as I believe android uses it as some kind of pseudo extended ram.

Mine was okay for 6 months but the ghost button is a nightmare.
Great phone, no issues in using it

Which Huawei phone did you purchase?
I have owned this phone since it was released. Quick, responsive and lots of storage with a memory card as shared internal storage. Excellent price.

I've got a moto g 3rd gen and put a micro sd card but I don't seem to be able to use much of the storage,I have no idea why the phone tells me it's running out of storage but the ad card is shown to be nearly empty

You need to format the card using the phone format option. The system then creates some system files on the micro SD card and it works fine then.

Hi, it's the Y6 2018 model (£79.99 from O2, still on offer at the moment)
only problems with this phone is (1) removing the back cover , feels like you will break it every time. (2) this is 2gb ram and sometimes stutters and/or has problems loading multiple apps, getting dated. Otherwise it is a good and fun phone to use.
Just bought a G5 Plus for my wife for £159.99. 5.2" screen, 3gb RAM, 32GB storage, and better battery. Much better phone, had mine for nearly 2 years.

The Moto g3 I bought several cards and formatted it on the phone and 90% off the apps won't save onto card I e Spotify , podcasts etc so memory was only 16gb which isn't enough

Your Moto G3 is probably running an older version of Android and you cant format the SD card
as internal storage.

Anyways internal storage of more than 16Gb is required in a modern phone and not have to start faffing with unreliable SD cards

The new moto G6 play has 32GB

Android can use the card in two different ways (portable vs internal). There are pros and cons to each but the big takeaways (for me) are that "internal" doesn't let you access the card when it's not in your phone but does let you move almost any app to it. It essentially expands the existing storage rather than adding a separate pool. With a 16GB phone I think "internal" is the only way to go even though it makes it much harder to backup my data.
Had 2 of these for a while, both great and SD card can be formatted as internal memory (so the 16gb gets topped up by whatever size card you add).

Thanks for this. Might solve my issues with Spotify where it using up my internal memory even though I have selected save to sd card.
