Now I'm feeling so fly like a G6.
I've just picked up a Argos refurb one Indigo but black really for £63

Anyway updated to Android 9 pie and has the turbo charge quick charge 3 thing which is important for me.... quite snappy compared to my Honor 9 but not as quick will be a holiday phone when battery life is priority for days out

Pristine condition looks new minus screen film but in original box with usb lead .... no earphones

Argos tend to list their weekly refurbs on monday at the moment... check ebay monday afternoon!

Can't believe they didn't include NFC with the G7. Makes no sense

Now this is more like the price, that the G6 play (and the g7 play!!) should have been from the start!!

For the money and the moto extras on this, just buy one!

Wasn't the cheapest technically that Carphone Warehouse deal for something like £52 including the 1 month contract?

Cool, I'm looking at new phone for a relative. Good looking spec, would I be right in thinking this is a very good price for a device in this class? As in I wouldn't find anything better value currently?

Heated OP!

Depends what you really want and what that relative needs....

Carphone warehouse have Nokia 2.2 with 2gb ram and Android One for £59 plus £10 top up so gonna pay £69. It's not as quick as Moto G6 play but it's cheaper! and has future updates to Android 10 and beyond

Thanks! I think I'll signpost then to the Moto. NFC is a massive plus. Think they're budget was £150.
Just ordered the black one for the son, heat added, thanks OP
This or the Mi A2 Lite for similar money? I have to say I like Xiaomi phones usually. Moto budgets often feel quite cheap.
Is this any "better" than my trusty Mi A1? Other than the NFC which is quite appealing?
Or can anyone recommend a sub £150 good replacement for the A1? Happy enough with Xiaomi or bigger brands refurbs etc.

Thanks all
Should i get this to replace my trusty iphone 6s or can someone recommend me something
If you're really after a Moto, may be worth considering the G7 Play available for sub £130. More modern screen design and 19:9 AR, better processor, already on Android P out of the box, 1TB micro SD support blah blah. Just a more up to date package compared to G6 Play from last year. Depends what your requirements are of course.
Neither is of real interest to me though.

Up to you. You know what you want / need. Go for it if you like the looks and specs.
I have this phone and it's become really laggy esp after the android 9 update

They also reduced the battery size from 4000mAh in the G6 Play to 3000mAh in the G7 Play
3GB ram
32gb on board storage (extendable to 256)
5’7 inch screen
4000 mAh battery

What’s not to like!

For that budget I think they would be better looking for a 4gb ram 64gb internal memory phone, plenty to pick from.
I also need advise, I need to get a new phone for my son's Xmas present. He has a Samsung s6 but it's battery life is poor. It's main use will be Pokémon go and YouTube... What can I get for sub £150 new.

This would be great, especially for this price. The battery on it is phenomenal. Mines a year old and will still last 2-3 days of medium use or one full day of heavy use. And then it charges so so so quickly.

The only downside to Youtube is that it only plays videos in 720p format, so not full HD..

Moto G7 power around £150

On one hand, this is a good deal, voted hot.

On the other, my 3 year old One Plus 3 will still leave this eating dust, (apart from the 3 year old battery.) Would I swap my OP3 for this, hell no.

Personally, I would wait until near xmas and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, which will blow this Moto out of the water. If I had to get one right now, I'd get the Redmi Note 7.

By the way, I think the cheapest place to buy the Note 7 in the UK at the moment is ebuyer, where it is £159.99 but with £10 cashback if you pay via VISA

I had this phone, was very laggy for me. I switched it out for a £60 iPhone SE from music magpie, the latter scored 60% higher on Antutu benchmarks, and is noticably better in every way.

I'd reccomend getting an old premium model over this.

Mi A2 lite is awful. I ended up giving it to my 8 year old as a toy.
I got my Smart Ultra 6 in mid 2016 (1080 screen) for £100, bit frustrating that 3 years later £100 phones are still using 720p screens. I'm sure the specs of this phone are better in every other area, but going from 1080p screen to 720 seems a step backwards.

I think the battery is finally starting to go on my Ultra 6, so hopefully I can at least get an equivalent quality screen if not an upgrade.

Could you be more specific about why it was so awful? It has pretty decent reviews and my wife is considering it as a replacement for her aging Vodafone Smart Ultra 6.
No fingerprint sensor is a major issue for me. Good phone if you don't mind not having a sensor though.

It's the G7 Power that doesn't have NFC. Both the G7 and the G7 Plus have NFC.

The g6 play description on argos says it has a fingerprint sensor on the back? Or are you referring to another phone?
