No NFC on this particular model. Not necessarily a deal breaker for everyone but just letting folks know.

What happened to the Moto G being a decent cheap phone...picked up the G4 for £119 in 2016, the standard G7 costs twice that right now! Suppose I have to wait for a decent deal from Amazon Brazil do I??

"Once you click the checkout button you will be transferred to Digital River Ireland Ltd.. Lenovo's ecommerce partner, who are the reseller and merchant of products featured on this website."

Calm down!

Last time I looked, both Ireland and the UK are still in the EU, so there is some consumer protection. It really isn't quite the same as buying from Hong Kong, is it?

1.5 times, actually. Still more features than a phone at twice the new price. And in my experience, better quality, too.

Come November 1st, and it will be exactly like buying from Hong Kong.
As for Digital River, I think they're the company behind the online outlets of several brands, I remember buying in the past from Canon and (IIRC) Vodafone stores on ebay and dealing with them.

I'm not a fan of the direction it's gone in either. I had the original Moto G (from 2013, I believe) and that was a beast of a phone (still works too) for such a decent price.

I upgraded from my Moto G4 which was falling apart to be honest with you. I like Moto phones because of the near stock android ROM so I chose not to buy the m2 etc.

The g7 power is a great phone, screen is nice, camera does the job, battery is fantastic and the CPU certainly does not struggle!

The dimensions of the phone make it very easy to hold and operate and it really isn't all that heavy or chunky.

The finger print sensor is a nice feature and comes in handy being placed at the back. It comes with a clear, plastic case in the box and you can purchase a tempered glass screen protector on eBay for a few quid.

I purchased it from John Lewis (I had around £60 worth of gift vouchers from tcb cashback) due to the 2 year warranty they offer. The John Lewis list price is £10 more than this deal.

I've had it for a couple of months now. All in all, I like it!

Really?

You've not heard of the Giant Killing Pocophone F1 or the Redmi Note 5, 6, 7 or even the brilliant little Android One MI A2, amazing value midrange phones? By ignoring you are missing out on some great handsets.

Xiaomi are currently the worlds 4th largest smartphone Manufacturer and catching Huawei in 3rd rapidly....Lenovo are somewhere around 7th-8th...(behind Oppo and vivo that you've also never likely heard of :-)

I'm going to go for that then,I think I will wait until it drops a bit lower on the Tesco mobile tarriff monthly fee,as I'm with them and can upgrade but it's more than I want to pay at the moment as it's quite a new phone on their site
Argos is £179.95 and if you have any vouchers then would work out more cheaper
I bought a dual sim phone last year. Still haven't used the dual sim functionality. Is it only for people with secret second families?

I used that deal to get a g7 power, upgrading from an old xiaomi phone. The g7 power is awesome so far, the battery life is INSANE, I've literally gone out and used it for a couple of hours, come home and it's on 99% lol

The only thing I wish it had was OLED, I miss my xiaomi OLED screen. But the xiaomi had loads of niggles and eventually had some battery drain issues. Faffing around with custom china roms as well wasn't amazing.

Thanks, but I only think of phones when I need to replace / upgrade. Like now. I'm not terribly curious about the latest tech (used to be, but I'm an old git now), and I'm very fond of Motorola because they have all the features I need (and many more), they use a 'basic' Android set-up (I used to use Samsung - never again; they're an Android man's iPhone, all Samsungified). And thirdly because they are great value for money.
Since they started increasing screen size, I hardly use my tablet, so it has to be versatile, and a few quick comparisons show no-one often comes close on value for money (I'm sure there's the odd special offer!)
But if I can't find a decent price on a G6/G7, I'll take a look at Xiaomi, Thank you!

I don't understand what you mean "having looked at their prices, I'll stick to Motorola" - Xiaomi phones are usually cheaper then the Moto equivalent?!

I'm a contractor so I have one for business and one for home. That way I can turn one off if I don't want to be disturbed, have separate voicemail, etc.

I have a super basic ID mobile sim as the second sim card.

Whats nice is this phone is dual sim plus sd card, so you can have all three. Many phones only let you have 1 sim if you use an sd card so you have to choose.
Cheaper at Argos and Carphone Warehouse
