It's not often you get something for free, but this weekend you can list any car (or other type of vehicle) on eBayMotors.co.uk for free using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats.

The normal Insertion Fee for vehicles is £8 each. Terms and conditions apply

Thanks for the heads up shahidemran

thanks for heads up, also.

Just a little advice on 'eBay Motors Free Listing'

Everyone and his Mum advertises their car during these times, so for the next week there is a glut of cars on eBay...

Therefore it's easy to deduce: more cars + same amount of bidders = lower final price.

£8 is a small price to pay when you're selling a few thousand pound car. Just relax for a bit and put it up the week after..

When everyone would have already purchased what they wanted at the rock bottom, bargain prices you previously alluded to :roll:

Personally, I'd take advantage of the £8.00 saving folks :thumbsup:

I don't think that people are suddenly going to decide to sell their cars to take advantage of an £8 saving on Ebay. Any extra listings placed on Saturday and Sunday will just be from people who would have advertised during the week anyway but have held off after hearing about the offer. Like me.

Thats exactly my point... :? As a part time motor trader on eBay I just thought I'd give you the benefit of my experience...

It is indeed a fantastic time to buy though, you get a lot of first time eBay car sellers who's auctions leave a lot to the imagination. I normally pick up a few bargains in the week after these promotions. I then bring them back, polish them up, leave it a couple of weeks, write a great description, add 12 supersize pics stick the car back on eBay and make a very tidy profit.

Thanks for the heads up, almost listed mine yesterday will hold off till the weekend Heat given.

me too gonna wait for weekend now great!!

Never used ebay motors before, but how is this free? ebay website says;

"You pay only an ]Insertion Fee and a ]Final Value Fee to list a vehicle on eBay Motors. If the item sells, you are also charged a Final Value Fee."

so instead of being charged £8 (insertion fee) and £17 (FVF for less than £2,000), you're charges £17?

have i missed something? also would it still be free if you set a high starting bid, say £2,500?

Is a reserve price free?
