nice little phone

Nice starter phone for a child

But really you should change the price as you cant actually get it for £9.99 you have to buy the extra tenner top-up

So id change it to £19.99

Orange's web site guys have slapped a full colour picture over the e-paper display :w00t:

This is an incredible price for this phone, but I would suggest that you give Orange a ring (0800 079 2000) before ordering yours, just to make sure the phone is in stock.

Their customer service is absolutely terrible (they just don't reply to emails), their website doesn't say if any of their phones are in stock, and if they are out of stock, Orange will happily leave you waiting for an order which may never arrive.

So, give 'em a ring first.

(Sorry for the bleak email, but this may save someone else going through the hassle I went through with them..)

You get what you pay for. Single line display makes txt reading impossible. Even reading names from the phone book is hard.

I have found no one does accessories for the F3. All the aftermarket suppliers seem to think that V3 accessories fit and they DON'T.

I had this phone and it is pants!!! Text messages scroll across on a single line and to access the various limited functions you will need to keep a crib sheet coz it is really crap to use!

Its a great phone if you just want to phone and text. If you need calendar, photo and GPS function than look elsewhere.

Simplicity itself to use, so would be fine for children and most adults ;-)

Outstanding value, I've had one of these phones for a week. It does exactly what it says on the tin and it does it exceptionally well.

Sending and receiving texts isn't really a problem - unless you've got the attention span of a goldfish !

It's rather misleading of Orange to superimpose a colour picture over the mono screen. There's a good review of the phone (and real pictures) here: cneophytou.com/200…f3/

That's not entirely true, if you are already registered with Orange and have a number already, then you can just upgrade your old sim. This means that the new sim with the F3 is all ready to use, apart from registering the swipe card.

Best of all, if you choose the upgrade (in-store only i think) you get the choice of buying the £10 credit or just paying for the phone (£9.99).

It is a lovely phone, but needless to say the interface and messaging do take some getting used to.

Hope this is useful for some people.

Just have to wait and see, last time it was this price they didnt honour the order even thought they took the money, which is actually accepting the offer to treat! I
