oh i forgot to say their customer service is crap sent phone to right address lable to return was wrong im thinking a ploy to delay
5 live chats and 4 calls later i managed to send it back
I've noticed mine had a bend in it, where the buttons for volume are, not sure how, never noticed this with any other phone I've owned

i had exactly the same issues returning my lenovo P2 to Three. sent it back over a month ago in their prepay envelope, got a receipt from the post office but they are still refusing refund saying they can't find it
In 5 years time someone will still be posting this deal - it's been going on for 6 mths ... IT ONLY HAS 1GB
I know this apparently doesn't have the usual android bloatware , but I'm really interested to know how much of that 1 GB is available fresh out the box ? I would really appreciate info on this from someone who has this phone . cheers
worth it?? opinions?
Buy direct from Motorola at your peril. If anything goes wrong they are a nightmare to deal with and ignore their obligations under the Consumer Rights' Act.
Dual sim if I buy white? Or is that the model up?

I think you are confusing the 1mb operating ram with the amount of storage memory (rom) for apps etc.
I installed a SD card and use it as part of the system storage so certain apps can be installed onto the Sd card.
I do not have any games installed just half a dozen apps and it has hardly used any of the original 16gb of rom.
I think its a cracking phone for the £80 I paid. I bought mine from Argos.

There was a system update this week for the phone - it has improved
I got this phone a few weeks ago. It is great value, but I have noticed an ever so slight decrease in performance since day 1, loading basic apps like Chrome take a second or 2 more now, but I kind of expected this from a build up of files etc. And no, I haven't used it for any dodgy sites like porn lol, and not gamed or used much of the 16GB memory either.
Jesus. That is some unanimous scathing testimony.
For less than £80 you are not going to get better than this. 1gb of ram for stock android is just about enough for the average user.

For those who demand faster performance expect to pay at least another £40.
I have bought 2 of these, on this offer. First one in white for my wife, while her iPhone is being repaired. Note that the white ones battery cover doesn't have the non slip paint and one in black. I have been using the black one for a couple of weeks instead of my Oneplus X (with 3gb of RAM). I haven't noticed any issues with RAM. The phone is amazingly well built, it is comfy to hold - grippy too and I only have had one niggle. My 128GB MicroSD card sometimes disappears and the phone needs to be rebooted. I think this is an issue with the card size though. For the cost, this phone is utterly brilliant. I don't think there is anything out there that comes near it, other than from a less known cheap brand. Motorola (Lenovo) is going to push Nougat out soon. I think this is a no brainer.

I ordered one a month ago, FedEx took three weeks to confirm that they had lost it. Motorola's response, 'not our problem, none in stock, you will get your money back in ten days'. Customer care really not what I expected.
I have this after my Lumia got smashed by the bairn. First foray into Android in quite a few years. Works fine. Memory stats sometimes show it uses nigh on all of what is available but I'm not **** about closing stuff down. It lacks some of the smoothness of the Lumia but I'm impressed with the build quality and general speed of it. Camera is pretty decent too, as is battery life. All in all I think it is a great deal for £79.
2nd code is: UKWELCOME10 not Welcome10
Moto g4 (not play) is free at mobile phones direct.
12.5 a month for 2gb data 1000 mins 500 texts. Plus 48 cash back if you can be bothered. I got this deal, it works great.
Ghost touch only happens if you do a specific fast top to bottom swipe, think it may be software related, to stop ghost touch error just press on off button.
It's not a problem , more an Easter egg

look at the smart phone called Blu - Life Max on Amazon.co.uk 16gb /2gb ram 3700mahh battery for under £90 only thing missing is NFC it does has a finger print sensor on the back.
I see no reason to get this over my Moto G2, the ram's the same, storage the same, it's on the latest android but that doesn't really makes any ends to me.2GB ram and dual sim are a requirement for more people
gen 5 moto g launches in 2 weeks and has really great specs for a budget phone

ive seen numerous posts online youtube lenovo forums etc.. stating that its a real problem thousands of posts on the lenovo forum and still no real method to stop this (although not all g4 experience this) i didnt want to chance it.
with motorola they ask you to send the phone in to repair (to repair a brand new phone???) and it needs to go n for repair at least twice to even get a refund. i have read some awful things and for that reason ive returned mine without even opening.

I was looking at the Moto G4 play to replace my Blu HD LTE (amazon black friday deal 18 months ago) - specs are pretty much identical - only diff is my Blu is windows and this is Android..
I have ordered this phone for my daughter who is not a phone person. I recently noticed trying to take photos on her old Nokia so I hope she will notice a difference. It is also moving over to a Android phone from Windows.

I had to really struggle to get the price down to £79.01

I had to use both discount codes in the right order, KEN----- first.

Anyway, we will see what comes.

I have an old Nexus 4 she could have used but I suspect this will be more fun.
I bought one a couple of weeks back and it's a decent phone for the money.
I have installed about 20 apps and it's only using 56% of the available 1gb ram.
The phone is far better than the Blu studio G phone I returned to Amazon due to it being slow and laggy.

I've had this phone from release, for 80 quid it's an absolute bargain. Really love mine

That doesn't make sense
This is poor value imo. You can pick up something like a z2 (yes it's old) but the specs kill this.

Snapdragon 801
3gb ram etc.
I got one 2 weeks ago, its abargain for 80 quid, also it has android pay which geo tags where you make any purchases
Is this phone ever going to get old ? its posted at least once a week and gets voted hot each time what's the big deal.
thx op one ordered
What is the camera like on this?
People banging on about the fact it 'only' has 1gb ram. I have the phone, had it for month or two and does everything a normal user would require ! Its £79 ffs it's superb value

I agree 1gb is absolutely fine on a pure android phone only place it may stutter is multiple tabs in chrome, perfect for a casual smartphone user !
I've just bought the G4 (not the PLAY) ... getting very cheap now that the G5 is due in a week ... cracking phone.
