Heat added. Very good price for a decent phone. Only thing is with the size of the screen I would have thought full HD was needed as a minimum?

Yeah, that's the one minus for the phone, though from my amazon Italy posting yesterday people were saying the screen is good.

Just noticed the blurb above says 'Full HD+' but I'm guessing that is a mistake by carphone warehouse?

You would think but for some reason they position the Power in the ‘budget range’ and cripple it deliberately a bit with worse display and processor, a bit like they do with the Play. I’m not sure why the assumption is you want a better battery but weak hardware elsewhere? Or maybe that contributes to better battery.
Great phone, super price

The higher the pixel density the lower the transitivity of the LCD which means you need to drive the backlight brighter to get the same brightness from the display. This definately uses more power.

To an extent, but the reduction in aperture per pixel between HD and full HD is not as much as from full HD to 4K - basically the 4K panels (in laptops) were affected a lot more. Basically full HD panels in phones don't suffer from this as much and I am sure it's penny-pinching and differentiation on purpose rather than saving more battery life.
I noticed the G7 plus is only £239 now too. That's quite good.
