The only thing letting this phone down - for the price - is no NFC, so no Gpay. Surely this is now a must for all phones.

Have been looking at a G7 Power for a little while...this is pretty good for a G8 Power isn't it?

Battery sounds amazing! Is this the best phone in the sub £200 price bracket?

I was about to post this.
You are too quick.
Great deal anyway!
Have a feeling, that the phone prices are going down even more. People holding back because of this virus situation.
I hardly use NFC at the moment and I work outside so Battery Life is the main thing I'm after. I do use Google pay sometimes when paying for stuff online and tickets. You will still be able to get it on this phone won't you?
No NFC? Based on that evidence, am oot.

But I don't really use the NFC. I'm saying I use it to pay online. You'll be able to download the Google pay app?

You can dowload the app yes but if you want to pay with your phone as a contact less payment it is not going to work.

And night mode in the camera and 30 sec shutter speed in manual mode.
What's the WiFi like on this? I've got the G7 and it's only got 2.4ghz. this the same? Makes downloads and gaming a bit naff sometimes.
Why would you take out NFC in this day n age!! It would have been perfect

The same. Only 2.4. Not a big deal. My phone can connect both but I do not see any difference in speed and reliability. And 2.4 can go further and through the walls more easilier than the 5.

Don't understand why they do it. I get 30 down on 2.4 or 200 on 5 usually.
How dose this hold upto the Samsung m30s as I just made an order today for one.

They are very similar indeed. However, the Moto comes with Android 10 out of the box and stereo speaker and splash resistant coating. And in my opinion the camera could be better because the bigger 1.7 aperture in the main cam.
On the other hand tha Samsung has bigger battery and a slightly better Chipset/CPU/GPU and amoled screen instead of LCD.
None of them is better than the other.

Nice one I have a key2 just now really love the keyboard. And then had the key1 so this will be first full touch screen in 3 years and battery is a massive thing for me. I will keep the Samsung and see how it goes.

It is a hard choice, both very similar.
I would say the Xiaomi, because that has NFC, support 5Ghz wifi, a bit faster charger 18W instead of 15 and there is an option for 128GB storage.

Quite a few people complaining about empty boxes and just not getting phone from Xiaomi. Maybe better ordering from someone more trusted.

You can probably do that with the gcam mods out there as it is a Snapdragon device.

It does not work properly in all devices. I know there are different versions of gcam but for example on my Nokia 7 Plus all the gcam ports I have tested gave me worst results than the default cam.

Zoom into the pictures and you will see how noisy all the pictures taken with the gcam. I gave up. Even if I put my phone on a tripod.

Mine were great by most standards, possibly not an actual Pixel camera, but apart from that.

I bought 8T for missus back in Dec for £139 on Amazon and she's delighted. I was previously on the look out for sub £130 G7 Power for myself but bought Honor 10 Lite instead and am happy. If I were to replace 10 Lite I'd be happy with 8T despite odd screen layout.

Still so tempted by this! Other half will change her phone in a few months though so if I wait I can have her Samsung S9 and get rid of my S7 that needs charging about 5 times a day
Anyone help out,
