Same. I've been reading reviews on video monitors (due 2/7) but I can't find one that has good reviews! Last thing I want to do is buy one then when baby born find out it's rubbish but can't send back as had too long!

I thought the same but these come up high on a lot of reviews. Others just don't have the big display with packed features. The signal can also be fixed with a WiFi booster
Worth buying at this price today and then returning. Very few, if any, with 5 star at this level of features.
Pointless device. Buy YI IP cam and use as baby monitor using tablets and phones.

Heat added. This monitor is great and definitely worth the money. Plays lullabies and you can talk through it, picture quality is great on a nice big screen. Had ours for over a year and the only problem we had was it stopped charging one day, contacted amazon and they sent a replacement and was here 24 hours later

That is probably a suitable set up for a lot of people no doubt, but that doesn't make this a pointless device.

I prefer the portability of a dedicated baby monitor (as well as not depending on the home WiFi signal). We would frequently be travelling to grandparents who didn't have WiFi and also taking on family holidays etc.

I recently bought a Yi 1080p Dome Camera (about £50-60) and a separate baby monitor with movement sensor pad.

The Yi camera seems to be comparable quality to a "nest" but has the bonus of not needing a monthly cloud subscription and you can record directly onto a MicroSD card in the camera.

Had this delivered today. Very impressed with it for the price
We just bought this. It seems like all baby monitors have really mixed reviews but this is one of the better ones and at least it’s a decent price.
Never blown away by image quality on these. Better off with an IP camera with PTZ functions. TENVIS or similar.
We tested ours tonight and it seems to work fine. Signal stays at five bars no matter where in the house I go. No baby to test it with yet but I think it will do the job for us. Now we just need to find a way to mount it so that we can actually get a good view of the cot. Probably going to use a flexible tripod of some sort.
