Is this any good?

Not sure, but I've gambled on it as its the cheapest I've found this model with 5 inch display.

Next cheapest is around £139.99 at John Lewis and Argos

Most baby monitors have very mixed reviews on Amazon, and some of the Chinese models have the odd random offer at times knocking 5 or 10% off.

This Motorola has better scores then others? That's the best I can say!

Why not get an Echo View 5 and a camera for £59.99? Does exactly the same and much much more? Well, from a monitoring perspective.

Is the echo view portable?

Echo is not good for nursery cam as it shuts down the camera after 30 min.

Also, it doesn’t show the camera when it gets movement or noise. You have to be calling it all the time.

But I combined my echo show 5 and Neos Smartcam with a audio baby monitor. This way you activate once you hear a noise. I thought about programming an echo dot to say “Alexa, show Nursery” every 30 min...

I must be posh as I have mains sockets in every room. I simply plug my devices into the wall in the room I am in.How the hell do you manage with a conventional hoover?

Used for 15 months and never had an issue. The charger port is in a stupid place and I can see it may become loose over time but this should last long enough! Quite happy with the purchase. Got ours for about £100 from Amazon

So what your admitting is that the Amazon device isn't truly portable as it's dependent on a mains supply. It's hardly the most practical solution here is it?
Friends recommend this one. Been waiting for this offer!

Well a mains supply or a Power bank.... You just wait until that battery needs charging and then you'll see how portable this is.. Chillax, I'm just jerking your gerkin
We have the old version of this and it's very good. Battery not great on the monitor unit (doesn't last an hour) but fine for moving between rooms and plugging in again. I thought a video baby monitor would be a gimmick but actually it's very reassuring being able to check on baby without going into their room.
It beeps when the screen is turned off. Very annoying
