PRICE DROP!

Amazon UK have dropped the price of the Moto 360. Whilst it is still slightly cheaper from Amazon.de, I think its worth the extra £10 for Amazon UK customer service should anything go wrong. Both the stainless steel and black (even cheaper at £119.45) colours are available.

Actually doesn't make a difference, both are Androidware so work the same.

"Londonnow" if you're a snob.
Only silver is available in Birmingham as far as I can tell.

I'd say the 360 but that's because I don't like square watches. The 360 also has a much more premium look and feel to it. The S3 does however have better battery life and NFC.
thanks op. ordered

It's gone from the app.
It was first in list of items

Good deal but I'm holding out for the updated version that'll be released late September/early October.

Heat added!
Sony also has own GPS. Prefer the look of this though. Hot.
nice looking watch.
shame no one told apple watches are normally round and not square
Is this water resistant?

Moto 360 over the Sony Smartwatch 3.
Fyi this was a price Match on Expansys who have had this price for longer. Also if no one has mentioned it the new model has launched although not available in the UK yet. Might want to wait for that. Price Will be higher of course
I've had a Moto360 since last Nov, it is a nice watch & looks good. There are some drawbacks of the Moto360 compared to most other Wear watches & it all boils down to the chipset they used, rather than using a newer, more efficient chipset, Motorola used one thats about 3 years old, so its not quite as quick (but actually not that bad with the latest updates) and the battery life is very poor compared to other watches. Other watches will last a whole day (sometimes two) with Ambient mode on, however the Moto360 will struggle to last. The new Moto 360 will be released very shortly & has the newer chipset, but will be over £200.

Also its worth noting that the Moto 360 works with iOS via the Android Wear app, however you will need to update the Moto360 firmware to the latest, which requires connecting it to an Android phone to receive the update, but it'll work perfectly after that.

Overall I do love my Moto 360 and wear it every single day. With Ambient mode off, I easily have 50-60% battery life at the end of my working day (7am to 10-11pm) You can also replace the watch strap with any 22mm band.
Still using mine i picked up in October last year. It's a really lovely piece of kit, word to the wise though... If you buy it with a leather strap don't go running with it, the leather will eventually pick up the smell of sweat and it's impossible to get rid of, I tried everything, ended up having to buy another strap

Shame I think it's out of stock in Prime Now.

2nd gen of Moto 360 is coming out soon, might be why it's getting cheaper and cheaper.
trying to flubit it, see what they can offer!

Amongst other things, the Sony SW3 comes with GPS which this and many other Android Wear watches lack. The SW3 has a cult following amongst runners for this reason - you can ditch your phone on a run.
Bought the Sony s3 watch last weekend - just love it , much better than my lg g watch which died - lasts two days easily

Clearing out stocks as the new model is launching soon. Looks very similar but much thinner.

Except that the GPS is incredibly flakey and absolutely kills the battery life.

Users complaints are that it can take an age to get a fix and goes wayward regularly.

I've got got the Moto 360 and Sony Smartwatch 3 and I'd suggest:

Moto 360
Positives
- very smart
- loads of stunning community made watchfaces available in the WatchMaker app, look amazing on that almost zero bezel screen
Negatives
- processor is ancient, so can be laggy plus not so future proof
- battery life is terrible if you're a heavy user
- screen is never alwyas on (even with ambient mode)
- doesn't feel like a watch to wear while doing the DIY!

Sony Smartwatch 3
Positives
- feels tough, I never feel I need to take it off to protect it
- great for sport - you can track swimming and running with it
- screen is always on and completely readable in sunlight, so great for digital info-filled watchfaces
- battery should last the day without stressing
Negatives
- not very 'dressy' feeling, optional stainless steel strap is virtually impossible to buy
- shaped like an Apple Watch, so prepare to answer the inevitable question....
- if you like reproduction watchfaces, they don't look great due to the large Bezel and square screen.

tl;dr: If you like bling get the Moto 360, if you value practicality and tech get the Sony SW3....

I haven't seen anything official from them about this £10 M&S voucher. Is it correct that they just send it to your e-mail automatically if you spend over £30 there?

The concerns about the Moto battery life are moot since 2 s/w updates ago (Id guess about 3-4 months back) mine now clears 48 hours between charges and I would consider myself a pretty heavy user!

I understood the GPS moisture issue has been resolved with the newer production runs?
will this get the update to sync with iOS?

Yes this one does look more fashionable but it's on its way out with very slow and sometimes frustrating hardware. I'd go with the Sony with the aluminum band.
Tempted after buying the DM360 (Buyee clone) for ~£50 on a lightning deal but found it limited so returned... Although that said, this only partially works with an iPhone so might wait until I upgrade phone..!

Great price, heat added

The Sony with the aluminium band costs nearly twice as much!
