Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) Pay As You Go @ Vodafone

£29 but you'll need to buy £10 top up = £39

Got 400 heat when it was posted last time but then went out of stock a few days ago. Back in stock now.

I picked one up a few days ago to use as a back up for my SU6 while it's being repaired and apart from the camera, I'm pretty impressed, well worth the money.

I suppose it depends variant of the Moto G you're referring to but generally:

That comparison is the old 1st Gen Moto E

From Vodafone's website:

How to return a faulty item

If a product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, we’ll simply exchange it for a brand new one under our returns policy You can also return it and get a full refund

Call us on 191 (The call is free if you’re a Pay monthly or a Pay as you go customer) or on 03333 040 191 from any other UK landline or mobile (standard call charges apply)

If you want to return a faulty accessory, call our dedicated team on 03333 048 069 (standard call charges apply)

After 30 days, we’ll try and repair the Equipment for you. We’ll let you know about any charges beforehand. If it’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, you won’t be charged for this. If we take your Equipment away for a repair, you may be able to borrow another similar item while you wait for yours to be repaired.

From day 31, we’ll need to check and test the product for you – please get in touch, either by visiting your nearest store, or by calling us on the above numbers. If this confirms a fault, we’ll repair the product, and, if it’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, there won’t be a charge

If there’s any damage to a product, it won’t be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If it’s damaged rather than faulty, we’ll let you know how much the repair will cost

Our returns policy won’t affect any of your legal rights, which we can’t exclude. For more information on your rights, contact your local Trading Standards office or Citizens Advice Bureau

Just bought (again). Specs wise it's "roughly" the same as a 2nd Gen Moto G 4G.
I had one of these for a while, good solid reliable phone, great battery, Minimal Moto bloat, camera poor/ ok in daylight.
I'd take this over any phone up to £80ish. Proper full 4g support on all networks etc.

Agree it's very good at this price. Especially with planned Android 6.0 update for best security.

Great price.

had mine on android 6 for quite a while, great phone & at this price a steal.

Does this have gyroscope

Now out of stock for delivery (again).

Does it play Pokemon Go ?

+1 had it from the deal on here a while ago where you could dodge the top up

OOS again.
Doesn't look like you can avoid paying for the bundle any more. That's rubbish. They must have fixed that bug in the website.

this was posted before last week. i would advise you read that thread as there are many examples of poor service, and a battle to get the phone.

I'd suggest going to a store which has one in stock (when they're back in stock) the guy who served me let me buy it without the £10 top up.

That's lucky mate.
When I bought a SU6 with no top-up and collected it from store the salesperson took 15 minutes of convincing to finally hand me over the order I already paid for online!

I have got a moto g and the camera seems to to be really bad quality almost grainy sometimes is there a setting or a app i get adjust/get to upgrade the quality of pic?

I'm looking for a cheap (almost throw-away) device to use as a music player (spotify/deezer) while out running - what would the battery life be in flight mode?

is this cheap/easy to unlock?

codes on eBay cheapest £1.15.

Had one of these for a year, paid £99 for it. Good screen, Camera isn't great, won't run the latest 3D games smoothly. But, it will do everything else with complete ease. Best budget smart phone money can buy.

Do you mean compass? In which case no (and neither has the MotoG!) - it does have accelerometer and proximity sensors (and full GPS)

From previous thread - not officially from the Play Store but will runs just fine if you sideload it!

Maybe already discussed but couldn't you cancel the sim top up as part of the 30 day network guarantee?

Vodafone customer services is absolutely atrocious.

Depends who you get.. I've had no issues with them at all. Had to send my SU6 off for repair under warranty = no issues. Brought this Moto E = no issues.

I've not received my phone yet, after they claimed that the phone was ready for pickup on Friday. Ever since then, I've been given the run around and members of their CS team don't seem to understand my issue. I won't go in to full details as it would take me ages to type it all up, but I've found the experience one of the worst as a customer.

I'm looking at buying this for a child as they start secondary school next month.
They will need Pokemon so how do I 'side-load' this anyone please?

It would last quite a few hrs if it's anything like my 1st gen moto G

Has anyone actually had their order dispatched yet?

Ordered mine on Friday and VF state a 24 hour delivery time, yet when I track my order, it has still yet to be dispatched?

Managed to get one in-store, even thought the price on the website had gone up (literally within the time I walked in to the store, and the time they found the phone) the Manager was pretty awesome; manually reduced it from the current £50, down to £29, and sold it to me without the £10 top-up. I would imagine I just got extremely lucky thuogh. Cheers OP!

Same happened to me, I ordered when this was posted for the first time and phoned them two weeks later to be told it had been cancelled. No reason given.

I would phone them to ask what's going on before in case they do the same to you - it's not a free call unless you're already on Vodafone, but I just phoned their "join Vodafone" number, which is free, and they kindly transferred me to an obnoxious South African in the web sales department. Good luck.

Edit: It's 08080 408 408.

I've probably called them over 10 times now and I had the same bad treatment from their overseas team. I asked to speak to a supervisor today and the girl wanted to get in an argument with me. I demanded to speak to a supervisor again and then she said "you can go on hold then". I had to hang up in the end. I have now written a request to their Social Media team to see if I can get any luck.
