Ok so this looks like the normal price but I thought I'd share anyway as it's such a good deal and I've just got this deal for my wife, the phone has decent reviews. You get the phone free in black or white. The contract is £7.50 a month and for that you get 250 free minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data. This may not be enough for some but for my wife she doesn't get anywhere near the 500MB per month. You can also cap it so you can't go over to avoid nasty surprises! You can also link your clubcard account to it.

Here is the spec

12x£7.50=£90, so the phone isn't free or am I missing something?

Your missing something, its a 24 month contract so its actually £180. But still if you are paying that for a sim only, its a good deal because its just like being given a free phone.
Personally I would rather pay £1 more a month and go for the nokia 630 or galaxy fame.

It's £7.50 a month for the contract and no upfront cost for the phone. It's a 24 month contract so £180 all in for phone and service.

250 minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data for £7.50, not bad at all, the phone isn't going to be of much interest to many people but you can easily sell for £50 which will bring down your tariff to around £5.50. Ideal for the kids, plus if you have more than one Tesco mobile phone in the family they will give you some extra minutes or data for free.

The galaxy fame is a poor phone spec-wise compared to this, the screen is nearly an inch smaller, no gorilla glass, slower processor, and that's just off the top of my head, I'm sure if you compared the specs you would see more things showing the galaxy fame to be a completely inferior phone.

It depends what you are after, in terms of software then moto e is better, but personally I would rather go with the fame which has a front facing camera so I can use Skype, and the rear camera has a flash. Its in the same price bracket. Moto G at £13.50 would be better option all together.

Good deal. I moved to Tesco a few months ago and have been really impressed with them. Phone reception is great, much better than EE where I am. I got the Moto G deal for £10pm. Just waiting for the Moto G 4g to drop from £13.50pm; will then get that for my wife.

Ok. I didn't see the 24 months in the description, so didn't bother to look at the deal on Tesco.

Nice wee phone ......zippy.

Bought it as part of my mum's Christmas present - all good so far

I got this for both my daughters as the cheapest I could get for a sim was £7.50 per month so I saved on buying 2 phones. These are great phones for anyone. I have an LG g2 and they are as good as it for anything I need. No front facing camera for selfies but not something I need! Hot deal

I got this for my daughter as she needed a new SIM deal, well worth it to get the phone too because she loves it, especially compared to her Nexus 4 which was becoming frustrating for her due to (a) not brilliant battery life and more crucially (b) crap 8gb internal storage for her music. Plus seeing as both daughters are with Tesco they get the extra data perk, boosting it to 750mb per month. I'll be doing the same in the spring and will be running three perfectly adequate contracts for £22.50 per month.

Don't forget TCB too. Not a lot, but every little helps.....

Forgot to add with buying 2 I got the option of a free bolt on with family perks so got another 250gb data for 1 of them free too.

Possible Quidco added to the description

Yeah best deal at the moment.... Even if this was Sim only ie just mins and texts would be a good offer. Chuck in a Moto E which is fantastic starter in Android and you are laughing!!! Hohoho

That's too bad scrumpypaul this only has 4gb internal storage and a lot worse specs than the n4.

Only drawbacks are small internal memory for apps and no camera flash. And I couldn't seem to navigate in Google maps

Scrumppaul is right. Better battery life than Nexus4 and you can add micro SD card for lots of music. Moto E is just as responsive in most tasks and app use as Nexus4 despite not as good on spec sheet. Specs can be misleading sometimes

Half the RAM would make it less responsive but 1mb is decent enough. Motorola are good at battery life so that's a given.

Bang right Paul, we have 4x£7.50 contracts with them, 250mb perks each, sim swaps done in less than 24hrs and £7.50 quidco. Been with them a few years and can't fault them.

Have you seen a Galaxy Fame in the 'flesh'? Trust me, you wouldn't choose that over the Moto E. I have both phones and the Fame is painfully slow due to the single core processor and the measly 512MB RAM. The screen is terrible, too. Not so much the resolution as that's fine IMO. Viewing angles are atrocious and you will get a headache before long unless you view the screen in landscape. I regret paying £120 at the beginning of the year.
Moto E is so much better. Screen is very good with great viewing angles, and the phone is just incredibly fast.

Works out to be £5 a month for the contract when you take out the cost for the phone and cash back, not bad for 250 free minutes, 5000 texts and 500MB of data.

As others have said = specs aren't everything. You are more than welcome to buy the N4 off me for an outrageously high price.

Unable to see the cashback rate for this deal. Do you know how much they pay?

The Moto E has expandable storage (8gb is useless for music/video fans) and much better battery life so better option for many people. Each to their own.

My mum is looking for a contract, this seems ok, with 250minutes every month. She will not use text or data- is this best deal around?
Not going for cashback deals as mum will never remember to claim.

On TCB, type in Tesco Mobile (don't click on the Tesco Phone Shop link, it doesn't include this as a cashback deal) and then you'll have access to the monthly contract cashback offers - on this deal you'll get £7.87 for a new £7.50 monthly contract.

Cheers Paul

Bought 3 so I have the advantage of the family perks which can be either 500 Tesco Mobile only minutes per month, or 50 Mins per month or 250MB per month can have a different perk for each phone, I phone the kids alot so the 500 Tesco minutes are good for me but the kids like the extra data. Tesco piggyback on the 02 network and have never had a an issue with keeping in touch :D.

I've been with Tesco Mobile for 3 years straight now and although they don't offer much in the way of retention deals,
they have consistently been the cheapest, low use contracts around imho.
These are great alternative to payg, especially for kids etc, as you can get family perks and cap them too.
I took out 2 of them in October and must say I'm very impressed with the handsets so far.
Solid build and decent performance on a budget. Plus excellent service from Tesco Mobile as always to boot.
Can't rate them highly enough tbh!

this or the lumia 530 and linx tablet for £11 I'm torn. been on android since first came out (how I miss my g1!) kinda bored now. but 2 years with a windows phone. anyone have suggestions, currently with Giff gaff

why not buy a sim free moto g for £130 and then a 12 month sim contract online off talktalk at £3.75 a month half price at moment. No brainer to me

I spent a fair while with Android but I moved over to WP a few years ago, hacking WP7 onto an HTC HD2 and I have never once looked back. WP had it's significant limitations at the outset, given it was in it's infancy, but the "app-gap" that so many people drone on about has narrowed considerably and, to be honest, it's not something I even think about now.

Given the rock-solid performance of my WP's that I've owned over the years, and the fact my ageing Samsung Ativ S is still going on very strongly with a cracking battery life, I won't be going back to Android anytime soon.

Having said all that, I have heated this deal as it is excellent value for a budget but perfectly usable Android phone.

It is not that good a deal if you are prepaired to buy a sim free phone upfront.

moto g gen 2 £130 off amazon
talktalk 12 month sim contract £3.75 for 12 months =£45

£130 +£45=£175 Plus quidco cash back.Better phone for £5 CHEAPER Plus only tied to contract fo 12 months

thats all good if you in fact are with talk talk

thank you for that. I think I may look on amazon for a second hand wp8 (sena 630 for £69 and i have £45 in giftcards) as I do like the lumia 520 my cousin sent me from america that I can't seem to get unlocked. then use the ee 100gb internet next month then Sainsbury's deal for the 5 months after that. will show me what the phones like on the cheap before committing. plus be about 6 months of service for £15.

Sounds like a plan. It's probably worth checking a couple of youtube type guides to get the most out of your WP quickly.

I've managed to convert a few lads and lasses at work from Android and iPhones onto WP and they love them.

ordered! hot!

My 24 months contract with Tesco just finished, and thinking to get this phone for me & my wife. I heard that the camera is really bad - useless. I do like to take some photos of my kids when they are on playground. Opinion of the ones that already have this phone would be much appreciated.
