Very Good find.. Hot

Do you know if it's locked to Virgin? Or it is unlocked?? Cheers

There are several eBay sellers offering unlocks.

Hot from me.

Nice find. Hot

I have one of these and I purchased an unlock code for 1.83 and it was so easy to unlock!

Good price for this, especially given how cheap it is to unlock.

just ordered. How do you get an unlock code online so cheap? My previous died in the rain, so hoping this will live a little longer!

EDIT@ as suspected it does 854x480 recording (FWVGA), shame

great phone

1 GB ram dual core processor with such a screen size and such a resolution....
there is no other phone on the market apart from unbranded ones.....

Any cashback sites?

Good price. I would say if you're going to top up more than £5 per month and keep the phone for at least 2 years, go for it via contract as it will work out cheaper (e.g. Tesco Mobile £7.50/pm)

Super hot! Ultra bargain... Had a play with one for a week and performance is very similar to MotoG. Very snappy and responsive. Easy to unlock. You'll still need a decent sim only deal to use with it...

I would still recommend the Tesco mobile deal for £7.50 including mins.texts and 500mb web monthly. 24 month contract

Just paid £79 from Tesco direct :-( damn you OP! Super hot deal.

Why?

Can anyone that has one tell me how gv voice (google voice) runs on it? My s3 mini and blackberry z10 would only work through speaker which is bad if I am at work calling back home to the states. Really thinking about this phone and this seems a hot deal after breaking yet another high money phone.

Pretty good review to consider before buying: "Moto E Review: You Get What You Pay For" youtu.be/WV1…Odg

Just phoned my local store to confirm that if you are already a Virgin customer, the £10 top-up can be converted into a voucher for £10 off your bill. So effectively the phone can be had for £49.99.

does that include broadband only? Or does it have to be phone?

You should have used the £15 off £75 spend.I used that yesterday to get one for my son @£64 and TCB tracked with £1.39.You can cancel or return back.

Code wasn't working for me, even on a new account I could return but it's been opened and used now so probably not worth the hassle.

Contact customer services and see if they'll refund the difference?

Amazing deal.

Biggest issues with this phone are camera related. No auto focus on rear camera, and no front camera period. Otherwise very similar spec to Moto G which is a fantastic little phone. Biggest issue would be the 4gb storage, but I believe this has sd card support, so if that's true this is a great deal. Resell the top up card/use it as mobile payment/psn and you've got yourself a great little phone for £50.

Sorry, I was referring to being a Virgin Mobile customer.

I went into my store in Bristol at lunchtime and they tried to sell me it for £69.99 but I pointed out it was £59.99 online and they honoured the price. They give you a £10 voucher which you can use to top up PAYG or credit to an existing SIM only account, so the actual cost of the handset was £49.99.

Great phone, really happy with it, no Virgin bloatware either, its just vanilla Android. All good apart from the crappy camera, which doesn't seem to auto-focus!

does this have lots of virgin stuff pre installed on it ?

Thanks to OP. Logged into my old virgin mobile account and found I had £40 upgrade allowance. Great for £9.99.

Just received my phones; they're going to be gifts. I have a query though for anyone else that's received theirs. There's zero info with the SIM, is it just a nano sim? It states Nano/Micro on the invoice, but I see no adapter and am concerned it wont actually fit.
Also, what is the process to activate the £10 credit?

Many thanks.

if it works on virgin and tesco, then it will be unlocked on all networks.

My sis has an Orange PAYG old style SIM - can she get a new micro-SIM and retain old number with Orange for this phone?

you should be able to get from Orange store or calling customer services. yes you will retain the same number.

I haven't done with orange, but I did for O2 and was done in 5 mins in O2 store.

I have tested with many different sim cards and I can confirm the phone is unlocked.

I've bought it online, is there any chance I can use the £10 credit towards my pay monthly account? I couldn't find anything in the package about the 10 quid, just a sim card...

Yeh the delivery note said something about a SIM £10 letter (can't remember the exact words) but I had no explicit letter with any top up code. Can only assume its on the SIM already.

Did notice off their web site that if you transfer your number in you get 100 minutes free. Wander if I can get O2 to give me a PAC code for the PAYG SIM I ordered and have not used to then get 100 minutes on Virgin?

I dialled 789 after registering the phone online and it said I have £10 call credit. Unfortunately, Virgin is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard at home, but OK elsewhere.

However, Motorola really need to redesign their phonebacks - this one nearly took my nail off when I fitted the SIM
