Powerful performance
Thanks to an octa-core Snapdragon processor and 12 GB of RAM, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is super responsive to every tap and swipe. There's no waiting around for apps to load and multitasking is easy. Plus, the 6.67" HD+ and its super-fast 144 Hz display lets you bring your photos and videos to life.

Incredible images
With 3 rear cameras and a 108 MP sensor, the Edge 20 Pro and its Ultra Pixel technology makes it easy to take the perfect picture in any light. Featuring 50x Super Zoom, you get closer to your objects than ever before. And its front camera with 4x low-light sensitivity will help you to capture the best selfies.
If you prefer videos, the 8K and 4K resolutions will help you to take professional looking footage with lifelike colours and exceptional detail.

Sleek design
At just 8 mm thin, the Edge 20 Pro is incredibly slim and light, while the matte finish looks and feels great to the touch.

Great battery life
Stay online for longer with the phone's amazing battery life, giving you day and a half battery on a single charge. With a 4500 mAh capacity, you can enjoy all features without searching for a socket. And thanks to 30 W TurboPower charging, you get your battery back to full power in a flash.

This is what GSM Arena thought:

    Pros
    • Excellent display - OLED, 144Hz refresh rate, good max brightness.
    • Top-class battery life.
    • Great marriage between stock Android looks and extra Moto features, Ready For can actually be useful.
    • The SD870 chipset's performance is just a shy short of the SD888.
    • Good daylight photo quality from all cameras, capable main camera in low light.
    Cons
    • No stereo speakers.
    • Charging speed is not competitive, no wireless charging.
    • No Night mode on the ultrawide and the telephoto cam.

I'm looking at this or the honor 50, not sure what to get

If you're deciding between the two, get the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. It's a no brainer. And especially for the same price, you're getting much better specs & hardware on the Moto. Literally everything on the Motorola is better.

    • Better screen with a higher refresh rate (144hz)
    • Bigger and better battery life
    • Solid build in using metals & glass over plastic
    • Cameras are much better in all aspects. Colour separation, sharpness and clarity, overall detail. Videos are also better.

The only thing Honor 50 wins on is charging speed. You're able to charge from 0 - 100% in 45 mins. That's the only plus side.
If I were you, I'd make that trade off and go for the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. It is a no brainer. (edited)

30W I think is just "good enough" But the rest of the spec looks great, be good to get some user reviews in here

The UI is in fact one of the best on the market, almost stock but with some really useful features. I have the original Moto Edge & love it, bought it when it was at the stupidly low price of £200. But if I'd paid anymore I'd feel robbed due to the one OS update, 2 years of Security Update policy. They had at one point said it would get Android 12 but they've now backtracked on that promise & it won't get it. Also official Lineage support is poor due to lack of popularity, so no luck there either.

How does this compare to s20 fe, does this have micro sd?

    No micro SD.

Loving mine. The cameras is great, excellent zoom and is good in low light, it's zippy for games. Wish it had wireless charging and but battery life is excellent so suboptimal battery charging speed isn't an issue for me.
Thing only thing that bugs me is the screen doesn't go dark enough for my liking (migraine and night time issues) have to use an app on top to get it acceptably dim, but I'm very much outside of the normal range here.

Correct absolutely pointless buying a Motorola phone if you’re going to keep it for more than a year or if you’re buying a Model that’s already a year old.

I've got a OP6 that is reaching the end of its life and I recently cracked it quite badly. It's a shame though because no new current phone seems to be enticing enough to buy. They all have their drawbacks and flaws. It really is a poor market compared to a few years back...

im in the exact same boat as you op6 for 4 year since release and am really wanting to buy the pixel 6 pro but people say it has overheating issues and all the other phones in the market just miss that wow factor with either cool features or just stupidly high prices. I remember buying this thing brand new from op and it was MSRP 470 which when I think of it was incredibly cheap, shoots 4k60, has genuinely great cameras and the 865 albeit dieing due to age has chugged me through 4 years of use. ever since carl pei left OnePlus it's all gone downhill their phones are now just with oppos colour os and the phones just seem to lack character and the prices!!!! almost £900 for a flagship i understand phones at that cost are a norm but not for oneplus. OnePlus has lost its core values and has settled for the norm will definitely buy this phone if it drops for any lower under 350, only thing holding me back is the camera and to be true to myself that is probably the biggest factor on my new phone along with storage and battery

If you can get a deal on a Pixel 6 I’d recommend that. Seen them go for as little as £325 second hand and for the money they can’t be beaten, nearly all the bugs are ironed out & it’s only the fingerprint sensor that remains a bit slow but hopefully face unlocking maybe coming to it. So either that or spend a bit more and try & get a deal on a Samsung S21 FE. One UI 4 is pretty good now & it’s the first Samsung skin I can tolerate.

Cheers I've got access to the EPP Samsung store so can get 10% off and £200 trade in for the S21 FE. Tempting to get that but it doesn't seem to be as great compared to the S21 as the S20 FE was to the S20?
Pixel 6 was definitely on my radar too, hoping with the 6a around the corner this might push the price on the original 6 down.

Yeah I’ve got access also & if they had any S20 FEs in stock then I’d have got one as the trade in deal is insane. In the I went for a A53 5G. Not as good as the A52s but doubtful I’ll notice it irl.

Yeah I'm keeping an eye out for a S20 FE restock, Samsung's website has been shocking recently.

Who in their craziness thought that for the 30 Edge Pro, replacing the periscope 5x optical zoom lens with a useless 2MP depth lens was a good idea

So sad as it would of been a contender to replace my P20 Pro, come back GMS

I completely feel the same as you. If one plus were still the same company they used to be I would have got a 9/9 pro in a heartbeat. But like you said they're essentially a re skinned Oppo and charging double the price. I'm definitely not getting a Motorola phone because they don't support their phones which is an absolute joke and I'm not interested in rooting my phone anymore. I've gone for a S20 FE with the discount pricing and £200 trade in for any old android phone, it's a bargain and will last well for a year or two. Hopefully in that time Carl Pei's new phone takes off and becomes mainstream (I think it'll start off like the original op which was limited invite only). There really is no premium phone that is worth the price tag, I also think the next generation or two of pixels should be far better as they get used to their own cpu. Also Samsungs flagship phones should be using mediatek chips in the future which might help costs.
