Really good price for 16GB version (for Virgin Media customers only)

To get this price I contacted virgin mobile and ask for the price of this handset as a Virgin Media customer and he told me its £109.99 so I said I was looking for something under £100, he went and spoke to manager and agreed to sell it for £99.99. I ordered one and now waiting for it to be delivered ....

Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do, with different backs you can switch out to reflect your unique style....

4.5 " brilliant scratch-resistant HD display
Speedy quad core processor
Android™ 4.3 with Guaranteed Upgrade
Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3
5MP camera with HD video recording
Long life battery

*** I can confirm this is not tied to Virgin Media/ Mobile users ***
- Delldoy

*** Important Point to Note - This is not just for existing customers (even though it should be in theory). I rang Customer Services on 0845 6000 789 to tell them a friend (who was with virgin media) told me I could get the same offer, and they only went and honoured it! For your information I spoke to a very friendly lady called Elvie! ;-)

Yes, only available to around 5million customers and their families - hardly worth bothering to post is it.

Now get back under your bridges.

If somebody posts a deal telling us they can get a pack of Tesco Value biscuits in-store for 9p in the SW of Cornwall, the excitement generated on here is electric.

I would have thought this deal to be slightly more accessible.

I really don't think the "majority" have Virgin cable broadband! What gave you that idea?

However, it would be unreasonable to vote this cold just because not everyone can access the deal (looking at you EazyDuz).

I completely disagree, a deal is a deal when it helps at least one person and the measure of a good or bad deal and how many it helps is how hot or cold it is, nothing at all to do with it be offered or available to everyone for it to be a good deal as you suggest. So many people on here would have missed out on great deals in the past if the posters shared your opinion and decided they wouldn't post them as it wasn't fair because they weren't available to everyone.

" i think she was getting a bit tired of me asking the same thing <3

But is it for the 16gb version? Are you sure?

So it's definitely the 16gb version?

So that is £99 and free delivery for the 16gb version?

So when can I expect my 16gb version to arrive?

Will the post man know it is the 16gb version?

I really hope it is the 16gb version.

Mam, mam I have just ordered a new phone.

Mam: I hope you made sure it is the 16gb version!

Like the Lumia 520 upgrade deal that's got over 1000? I haven't got PAYG so I can't use it. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be posted.

Don't be ridiculous!!!! How many store sspecific deals get posted. How many Argos Clearance deals get posted (only 4 stores up North). A deal is a deal if just one person can benefit!!

Should they not post deals on womens clothes because men can't benefit, and vice versa?

A deal's a deal even if it only helps 1 person, Thank you again OP. These 16GB phone's retail for £140 without £10 topup. Never will everyone benefit from every deal. Do I vote cold / moan / whinge on the recent O2 priority moments deal because i'm not an O2 customer or the wild goose Tesco deals forever getting Hot? You win some and you lose some, a deals a deal. If you can't take advanage of it, then move on to the next deal. Simples.

    Cheers OP!

I ended up buying 3 for family seeing as I'm on Virgin mobile anyway

A few things that I clarified from the Sales Rep I spoke to just in case it hasn't been mentioned in the thread.

    1. This is a promotional offer so you can just call the Sales department directly (so it's not a retention deal or anything). All you have to do is ring up and say you'd like to enquire/purchase the current offer on Motorola Moto G at £99.99. You still need to be a Virgin Mobile customer though due to the security checks so it's available to ALL virgin Mobile customers. If you know anybody on Virgin Mobile though, you can just get them to buy it for you.

    2. Virgin Mobile ONLY offer the Moto G 16GB. They don't have the 8GB for sale.

    3. You can unlock the phone and there'll be no issues with warranty or anything. You can get it done on eBay for a couple of quid but Virgin Mobile charge about £15 to get it done.

    4. There's a 24 month warranty with the phone and a 14 day customer satisfaction guarantee as well. Just ring 789 on your mobile and speak to Customer Care who will sort out any phone issues you have.

Just ordered. Thanks. I can confirm that it is the 16GB version and NO you don't need to be a virgin media customer to order. Anyone can. This offer has been available for a couple of days now and they started with a couple of thousand. Now they only have around 300 units left so you better be quick if you want one. Yes delivery is free. I never liked the 8GB version cos the memory is too small even if the phone is not for myself. I think they are shifting stock because of the new Motorola phone coming out soon.

No sd slot no changeable battery not a bad phone but will be worthless … No sd slot no changeable battery not a bad phone but will be worthless when coming to sell as people will only pay a small amount due to battery no longer holding charge etc not to mention people will say £50 because 16gb version cost £99 new.I wouldn't go near a second hand phone without replaceable battery.Have decided to wait for samsung s3 price drop they are already at £160-£170 new wont be long until can snag one for £150.I'd rather have the option to have a 64gb card on there can carry around loads of movies music etc.£99 for the 16gb model is what the RRP should be it's more or less a throw away phone, how long will a battery last til it only holds 1/3 it's charge ? 1 year ?

Don't expect your S3 to hold up in value any further either.
Battery life is not as short lived as you portray it to be.

    Have fun waiting~

Just called, first lady went to check with her manager regarding price and came back saying they have put a stop on all Moto G sales due to the price discrepancy. Rang straight back, spoke to a different person who took the order straight away.

Cheers OP, been on the lookout for the 16GB at the right price, great deal.

    Using your NUS extra card:

Limited to non-iPhone tariffs! Haven't applied yet since I'm yet to receive my Virgin SIM. Hope that helps.
